My husband and I ate here towards the end of our holiday. Wish we had found it earlier. People seem to gravitate to a restaurant across the road, which is no better than El Greco. I think it might be that there is no huge...menu outside to read. We cannot recommend the food here enough, give it a try. We will be back to Alykes and this will be our first stop. Meals were amazing!! we were a party of 7 and we ate there several nights. We were never disappointed, every meal excellent for all of us. A great atmosphere and service, I can't recommend El Greco highly enough.
Had a fantastic meal at this beautiful restaurant. The food choices were great. I had prawns and salmon, my husband saganaki prawns and calamari and my son had swordfish. Had the most amazing meal from start to finish. From the beetroot, skordalia and carpaccio to the most delicious lamb Kleftiko that made me want to lick the bowl clean followed by a scrumptious cheesecake. We have recently been to Alykes for 2 weeks and this is the first time trying El Greco and it was definitely the best meal we had out there! The service was exceptional the staff were so attentive with everything making sure we was ok!...The lamb chops, chicken wings & lobster was amazing I definitely will be going back when we return! Just brilliant. Had two meals at the restaurant and both were first class. The starters are main course size and the main meals were superbly cooked and presented. The prawn cocktail was massive! The restaurant is run by the father who takes the orders and...does the cooking and the son who keeps you topped-up with drink. Service times can get stretched at busy times but what's the rush? Not sure I can do it justice in my review but give it a visit and you won't be dissapointed.More
This was our favourite restaurant in the two weeks we were in Alykes. The food was superb, wine was very acceptable for the price and the staff were very friendly. Would highly recommend El Greco during your stay.

We visited here recently while staying at the Maria Hotel and Apartments, Alykes. We were surprised to see somewhere with a familiar name to us, as we live in Northern Ireland and in our hometown we also have a Greek family owned restaurant called El...Greco. So, we thought we will most definitely give it a try. We were not disappointed at all. The food was first class, the waiters were very friendly and helpful also. The chef/owner even came out an spoke with us. It is a very clean restaurant and a MUST if you are in the town of Alykes for a visit.More
The food was very fresh and they had a traditional Greek menu. Both my partner and I have a chicken souvlaki, which came with potato and vegetables. It was delicious! To start we had a dip each (one Taramasalata and one Tzatziki). Yum! The food...was good value for money and the staff were very welcoming!More
Just got home from 2 weeks in Alykes and ate in some nice restaurants but for us El Greco is the pick of them. Yannis is a wonderful cook and host, and the food is just fantastic, my favourite is the lamb chops but you...wont be disappointed whatever you choose. Also has the best house red wine of any of the restaurants we ate in. Please give it a try.More
Fantastic home cooked Greek food. This is as good as it gets. We have not had a bad meal in Alykes but this is top of the tree. Great food. Lovely staff. Recommend the beef stafado.
I'm in the fully renovated El Greco-Roman in the centre of Alykes. Beautiful and clean the staff are some what new but they know it and tell you. The owner is in full control however providing a Greek style feel in the middle of town...with the horse drawn carriages trotting by. So the food I ordered Sardines grilled and Karen a Salmon steak. Both meals came promptly as there were few in the resteraunt not and chicken ding affair. My sardines arrived, all 20+ on a salad bed of lettuce, onion, asparagus and grilled peppers. Heads already removed and I added the lemon juice, oil and vinegar. Absolutely a taste delight every one not needing picking just in and crunch. The wine at €10 for the house semi sweet is also full bodied and a beautiful compliment to the already excellent meal. Thank you to all at El GrecoMore
