A very busy night in the restaurant area, but we were met and seated very quickly, we were placed in the "snug" a small room next to the dining area with a large round window. Perfect for conversation and peace. Two of the party had chicken, exactly how they wanted it, I had rabbit, the first time for a long... More

I spent a week in Appledore. Spent most evenings in the Beaver. Atmosphere and staff excellent. Beer was very good and I had four meals there, all were excellent. Locally caught fish. Could not fault the staff, always very helpful and pleasant. Would recommend it to my friends. Will definitely be going back.

Dined at Beaver on two occasions. First for jazz night, very good evening, fish pie excellent. Second time we had curry and unexpectedly joined in the quiz, good fun. Curry was tasty, plenty of it, had cheese board to finish, interesting variety of cheeses. We came last in quiz, but hey ho, good night!!

A lovely traditional pub with friendly welcoming staff. We went on quiz night and had a really fun evening joining in. I had the fish pie which was the best I have ever tasted and my husband really enjoyed his chilli. Very generous portions. Would definitely recommend to others.

Visited in November 2016. The menus was varied - I enjoyed the vegitarian Taglitelli. Very tasty. There was a quiz about to start as we were leaving, if we were staying a little closer we would of stayed for the quiz. Definitely worth a visit.

I had an evening meal here with 3 English friends and the bill came to 80 GBP. The Inn had a nice atmosphere with reasonably priced food of good quality. The service was good and everyone enjoyed their meal. The local Cornish lager was very good but I though the nacho chips starter was somewhat over-priced for the portion served.... More

If Carlsberg made pubs! A great blend of friendly locals. Value for money food and a great team behind the bar. The Beaver is where you can watch a local band, the footie, the boats on the water and the world go round! Top pub and thanks for making us so welcome.

Visited this friendly inn on the west quay in Appledore for the first time. Enjoyed the seafood chowder for starters and especially the steak for mains. Cooked exactly as requested. Not high-dining or intimate, it is after all an inn but food was very good. It was quiz night - too hard for us!

We have visited this pub on previous visits and are pleased it has changed little with a warm welcome and good food. The seafood is especially tasty and fresh, and not overly priced. The small Cod would be standard elsewhere and a meal in itself, all the portions are healthy and good quality. They have a good range of beers,... More
