The food menu focuses on Indonesian food and have very limited western food, should expand the variety. The restaurant provides club sandwich for room services, but this is not listed in their dine in menu. Ordered the Nasi Goreng, Lakse and Gado-Gado. Presentation is good...but taste is just ok. Worst is Gado-Gado with beancurd as the main ingredient, but the beancurd is not fresh.More

Breakfast buffet had a huge variety of dishes both local as well as western. Ingredients are very fresh despite the small group of tourists. Had lunch there as well. Serving portions are large and well season. However, may have been adjusted to suit tourists preference...e.g. their rendang was sweet and non spicy. But good views and ambience. Staff are very friendly and attentive too.More

The restaurant has basic level wines which they are charge 10 times the value for. I was charged $400 AUD for a $ 35 AUD bottle of white wine. (Not Red)

Recently stayed at the Banyan Tree resort and we ate here several times, this being their signature local cuisine restaurant. Good choice on menu, excellent food. All staff are super friendly and attentive. Highly recommended.

A lovely atmosphere amongst the treetops, which became magical once the stars came out. The food was delicious and our night was made when the band played my parents' requests with gorgeous harmonies so that they could dance.

Bintan restaurants are pricey. For Treetops (Banyan), it's well worth it compared to Lotus Cafe (Angsana). For the same price, Treetops food was much better and better quality. The starter crackers was great to start the meal. Go with an empty stomach to enjoy the...food. We ordered 3 dishes (beef rendang, gado gado, ayam goreng) and the portions were big for 2. We were very full but the food (and chilli) was good and we just slowly finished all the food. ;) Need to make reservations early. We stayed at Angsana and the reception has helped with our reservation. 6 or 6.30pm is good to go while the day is still bright to enjoy the scenery.More

We reserved a table for dinner but there is too many bats on the trees and they’ll poop without you knowing. Better to stay indoors to avoid eating their poops

We had 2 breakfasts which came with the room, and 2 dinners - an ala carte menu one day and buffet on the Saturday. All meals were excellent. The buffet offered a selection of BBQ skewers of which the squid was my favourite. The dishes...included noodles, and a selection of hot dishes. I also loved the chicken rissoles among the fried finger foods. Other notable Indonesian specialties were the gado-gado salad and soto-ayam soup. The range of desserts was also well balanced and very good. For the ala carte dinner we were impressed with the appetiser of 3 kinds of crackers accompanied by 6 types of chilli paste. The sop buntut (oxtail soup) was a good choice. The duck was a tad dry. All in all I would recommend this place.More

We visited this restaurant 4x during our stay at Banyan Tree Bintan. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of food! Their gado-gado is very flavourful! Also, we enjoyed their nasi goreng and ayam. Initially we were quite hesitant to order due to the price...(expect to pay about SGD 16-17 for nasi goreng). However, after tasting the food, we felt it was well worth the money! The portions are generous and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients used. On our last night, we decided to try their Rice Table menu and they allowed us to share one set between the two of us. Each dish was so well-prepared and it left us feeling inspired to cook and replicate some of the dishes! Breakfast is also served here and it is wonderfully done. I liked that they included chef specialities that were made to order, and also provided a range of coffees and teas. Their mochacinno and latte were delicious! The service was also impeccable. I am impressed that they greeted me by name and remembered me only after my first visit. Their welcome appetizer which consisted of free-flow cracksds and 6 different types of chilli was always something I looked forward to! The chilli pastes are well made and not too spicy on the palette. Thank you to the staff for making our meals so well, and each visit to your restaurant a memorable one.More

For a decent local lunch, Treetops is a good place to dine at. The breakfast spread with the room at the restaurant was plentiful but average. I'd go back for the Nasi Goreng and the satay!

Very average with overpriced menu. As simple as Spring rolls they do not taste good. I must compliment the chef and kitchen staff for their breakfast menu.

Used by the resort for breakfast daily, Treetops also offers a diverse menu for lunch and dinner. The restaurant is the most informal/casual of the three on-site and offers the most diverse menu options.
