This was the only place to eat within Mayang Sari, although the other restaurants within the Nirwana group and a short walk / shuttle bus away. We had lunch here on our 1st day, ordered Mee Goreng and Chicken Bakar. The Mee Goreng was very...yummy with plenty of ingredients but slightly salty for us. Chicken Bakar was awesome, the sambal balacan was so good we asked for a second helping. The half chicken was very tasty with a hint of sweetness, very moist and tender inside. Portions were big. Meal cost 370,000+ RP, which was what we expected to pay at a resort. We had 2 buffet breakfasts at Spice. The spread was good, quality of food acceptable. Latte, Cappucino etc were great from a machine. Between both mornings, there were slight variations. For those very particular about food hygiene, to note there are some houseflies preying on uncovered food, and birds who ate off serving spoons at the prata section. Staff promtly changed the serving spoon when I told her about it but the birds returned soon after and the next morning.More

The menu is a mix of Indian and Indonesian, we ate here a few times and really enjoyed the mix which all tasted lovely. A bit quiet but we enjoyed it and the service was excellent - definitely one to try

I’m not sure I would wanted to be trapped here for more than a few days Beholden to this cuisine. That said it was as cheap as chips. Staff friendly. Incredibly quiet on our visit because of Coronavirus

Love the restaurant. Love the view. Love the menu. Good options for vegetarians. Value for money. Most of the dishes were tasty and price inline with singapore price unlike other resort restaurants. Staff was polite. Must try.

we loved the foods at spice, kids enjoyed too, not so spicy and a good variety too. walking distance to nirwana resort and a pleasant one by the sea rocks. kids loved the walk. staff very helpful to explain dishes and so kind. the seaside...looks better in front of mayang sari instead of nirwana resort which has chunks of petrol at seabed from recent oil spill.( near coco tilted tree)More

My husband and I stayed at Mayang Sari Beach Resort in Nirwana Gardens, so Spice Restaurant was the nearest restaurant from our villa / room. I hope they will serve / add some more Asian dishes for those non-Indian guests. Because In our case, we...weren't that satisfied with the taste of the food probably because we aren't used to it since we aren't Indians. Price is okay. Staff are courteous and the restaurant has a nice view.More

Friendly staff with decent Indian food. Staff will check on spicy level. Mutton curry goes well with Naan. Palak paneer is decent with room for improvement. Give the masala tea a miss. Not air conditioned so may be warm during lunch.

We had a dinner and lunch here during our stay at the resort, our buffet breakfasts were also served here. All meals were excellent. We opted for Indonesian meals for dinner - our server asked if we wanted the milder versions, which we did -...and these were still spicy for our taste buds. We shared onion bhajis, vegetable pakoras and chicken satay at lunch - the best bhajis we’ve tasted! There was an excellent choice at breakfast to suit western and Asian tastes. All food was well presented and staff could not have been more polite and helpful.More
