We had a lovely evening meal at the Worsley - the culinary masterclass was served up by Andrew Johns and the manager Peter ensured no detail was ignored - a wonderful meal and dining experience.

Good Selection of Steaks cooked to perfection. Home made pie also recommended. Good choice of fine wines available to compliment meal. Relaxed and cozy atmosphere and a choice of Restaurant or Cricketers bar to dine. Same Menu and price. Cricketers Bar has a coal fire.

We enjoyed sitting by the fire in The Cricket Bar to select our evening meals. The attention to detail was good, excellent wine choices and the food very good if sometimes over complicated. Regards Gary Saunders

The smoked salmon and prawn starter was a taste bud treat really set the meal off well. Followed by my usual steak and ale pie with mash and a golf ball of spinach it was superb if a bit of a struggle to finish (to nice to leave any) Then into the bar for a coffee whih came in a... More

We visited for a Sunday Lunch which was easily one of the best we've ever had. Both the beef and pork were delicious as was everything else. The service however was left lacking... once we were seated not once were we asked of we'd like another drink or if our food was OK. Such basic things being ignored!

Idyllic village, heritage property, chef not up to the menu he was offering, if you want to dine alone then this is the place. When contested that the Partridge was too tough , then was met with we know what we are doing.

Dear Chris E Thank you for your review. Sorry you did not enjoy your partridge, for the record the chef is up to the menu he offers as all the positive reviews on this and our other tripadvisor listing as a hotel will testify. Regards Tony Finn More

Booked a first Sunday lunch here in the restaurant. Had previously called in for bar meals and have never been disappointed with the quality of the food served. Our Sunday lunch was excellent with good quality locally produced food presented in a first class manner. The service was also of a high standard so much so we booked a further... More

We gave up heading for the coast for fish and chips on the last Saturday of July after an hour doing one mile on the A64 and found the loveliest fish and chips at this delightful place in a pretty village. We got a warm greeting from the bar man who offered us food and drink and showed us to... More
