We had a lovely, well prepared and very tasty lunch whilst exploring Hovingham. It's location and friendly staff made it a place to revisit in the future.

Visited for breakfast as only a few miles from us and what a let down. Extremely over priced at £8.95 which we wouldn't mind had the quality matched the price! The bacon was inedible and the mushrooms tasted dirty. The sausage was ok but still average at best. I think the biggest let down was the fact that the full... More

Very nice fresh bakery next to a beautiful little stream, will defiantly have to return in summer and sit outside.

Really good quality bakery with range of pasties, pies, breads, rolls, etc - all you need for a good picnic. There are benches outside if it's sunny. The cafe itself is a bit bland and looked relatively pricey.

As we popped in here on a cold wet day we had the cafe to ourselves, so service was quick. It was also very friendly. We were only here for a snack and our generous pot of tea was nice, as were the tea cakes and cheese scones, which were all baked in-house. The bakery is in a nice position... More

This is a little cafe attached to the village bakery. Simple fare but just right for a stop for morning coffee or afternoon tea. Very happy to recommend.

Stopped on way to Nunnington Hall for elevenses. Delicious coffee and very friendly service. I love this place and always have a wander round the village as well. Well worth a visit.

Home made local produce - delightful food and drink to eat in or take away. Don't miss it if you are calling through

Oh dear what is happening here? The bakery and its goods were excellent but the cafe is being run in a very odd way. Service was pleasant but exceedingly slow despite the place being deserted. The walls were festooned with mis-spelt handwritten notices about a "buffet" apparently in a room above the cafe, but unless you ascended the steep steps... More

I have visited before and was looking forward to another visit, the café was very busy and staff didn't come to take our order - I went in search of someone and the lady was harassed, we said we would like the buffet and she asked if we wanted soup, I had to go and check with the rest of... More
