Absolutely livid to turn up and find out they had shut the pool table just for one night. Having the pool table attracts most customers to this ‘usual’ decent pub. However they decided to close it off tonight for absolutely no reason. Wouldn’t surprise me...More

Been here a few times for coffee, really enjoy it as they offer filter coffee. Lovely old building, bit of a warren, but interesting walking through to get to the loo's. Only drawback is that they don't open until 10am, but that might be a...More

No real gripes but no real pluses apart from the friendly staff. We were there on gloomy day and the room matched the weather. Probably a good place for a friendly pint of the excellent choice of ales. A bit dissapointing.

Went to the Chequer Inn for breakfast with the family, including kids. The breakfast menu overed a decent choice and was reasonably priced. Service was at the bar but attentive.

Although the Sunday lunch was reasonable, I have had better. The service was average and the value ok. We were disappointed overall

Although this review isn't bad, I have seen better. Without writing anything that is constructive, it comes across as only ok. We are disappointed overall. Kind Regards, Chequer Inn.
