My husband and I had breakfast here last week. I had the Eggs Benedict. Absolutely cooked to perfection. My husband had the Pulled Beef Hash. He added sausage and egg. Wow! The portion was huge. The beef simply melted in your mouth. The cubed potatoe...was fabulous and it had soaked up the juices of the beef. All in all a really lovely relaxing venue to have breakfast. The Priory has undergone a huge refit since we were last there. So open and yet still cosy. The furnishings are very modern and the colour scheme is fab. The seating is very comfortable too. Nikolai, the Manager, gave us a lovely warm welcome. He was professional and enjoys a good chat. We didn't book a table as it was early mid week. I would recommend booking so that you are not disappointed. All in all brilliant.More

Went there for lunch with a friend. Service was so slow. Ordered a fish finger wrap which after a very long wait, arrived completely dried out with no fish just batter in a tiny dried up wrap. The chips were lukewarm and the tartare/chilli sauce...was really horrible and had ‘split’. When the waiter eventually came over to check if our meals were ok I complained. We didn’t have time to wait for a replacement so he took it off the bill. Really poor as our company use this place a fair bit, but not any more sadly.More

Just popped in to suss the place out since the refurb. Looks good, but they still don't give the staff any training! Plenty of youg men behind the bar in a variety of tatty t-shirts, trying to work out which bottles were red, which might...have been Spanish etc.. One hour's bar training would work wonders!More

It's some time since I have been to the Priory ~ recently refurbished , very good colour scheme and interior design. the menu has also had a refresh . Evening menu choices were very good indeed and the range covered all tastes. We had starters...of Salt & Pepper squid and oven baked mushrooms ~ very tasty . Unfortunately a couple of mains were not available so had sea bass fillets ( which I can recommend) and Fish & chips . Meals were well cooked and nicely presented. Good range of beers, wines etc Service was very good , Emily was very friendly and helpful. Meals took a bit of time to arrive, appreciate that the place has been open a short time so is still finding it's feet again. Reasonably priced and very good atmosphere so will definitely go backMore

It’s been revamped since our last visit and the decor is very clean and modern. The menu is wide ranging but not over powering. Excellent service and assistance from Gill the waitress who was totally professional and friendly. Food was good value and sensible quantity....Definitely worth the excellent status and a revisit.More

Thought we’d try this pub again as I’d read the interior had been revamped and there is an upgraded menu. Sadly our experience was no better than the last time we came. Overpriced food for what was presented - a strange selection of vegetables to...accompany a roast (e.g. boiled aubergine, peppers and onion are a tasteless abomination!) and food was delivered luke warm. If you are going to charge restaurant prices then provide the service to go with it - no one asked if we were happy with our food despite the “manager” being 3 feet away from us at her till checking her bookings! Unfortunately, despite this being a local pub for us we won’t be returning.More

Sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy your meal with us. We do have a lot of new team members and I have emphasized the importance of checking back with the guest, to ensure everything is satisfactory, apologies that this was not done. Many Thanks...More

Visited here for Sunday lunch, the pub has a large car park and a nice decor with seating outside also A nice choice on the menu with several meat choices for Sunday roast which come with a nice selection of veg. A little on the...pricey side for a roast lunch compared to other pubs and carvery. The food was good quality and tasty, the service was friendly and unhurried. The meal took over two and half hours which was a long time so the service was in the slow side so maybe if you don’t want to spend that long it could be a problem.More

You can take doggies in the gardens :) There are water bowls avaliable. The back gardens have heat lamps if its a bit chilly, but only service dogs are allowed inside. Hope this helps. :)
