Good food at a reasonable price, welcoming & smiley staff. Pub is easy to find, just outside Ramsbottom town centre. Has a small car park but can park up the street. We would visit again.

My girlfriend and I first went to The Major because we knew it was a dog friendly pub and once inside we had a pint of local ale and decided to come back for dinner because of the smells coming from the kitchen. So we came back again to eat and we were right, the food was great. We had... More

The refurbishments that have been going on have certainly brightened up the pub. We did wait a good while for our meals but we... More

Waited 1hour 20 mins for food, when arrived served with the wrong food and then told they had none of our original order left. Totally disorganized and won't be going back

Thanks for your review, we were expecting this. We are sorry that you are disappointed with your visit. It was extremely busy and you were advised there was at least an hours wait which you accepted. We were willing to rectify the situation however, you left before it could even be discussed and without paying for your drinks which is... More

Often pop in here for a drink and occasional food, the refit is good but they could have also invested in new carpets. That aside it is well with a visit for either a night out or a bite to eat

Thank you for your review. We wish we could have invested in new carpets too. Unfortunately being a new business and commercial carpet being expensive it was not viable this time. Other things took priority. We are looking to replace the carpet in the future. Kind regards, More

Although i eat here often the specials board is constantly updated. Today i had the lamb and black pudding hotpot. Packed with lamb and plenty of veg. All washed down with a nice beer.
