Great little pub recommended to us by friends. I had a delicious Edgerton Pink Gin and Fever Tree Elderflower tonic in a balloon glass while my husband opted for a pint of local golden ale. The ambience here is lovely and the food is delicious....More

Stopped here to meet some friends for a dog walk and had a fabulous lunch out the front of the pub. Staff were very helpful and the food was really great, always reluctant to pay over £10 for a burger but it really did meet...More

We wanted a traditional English country pub for Monday lunch, and with the George at Burpham, we got something of the highest quality. Beautiful decor of a refurbished old pub in a small village just on the edge of the South Downs Country Park. Next...More

We had Sunday lunch here. The pub is tastefully decorated and food was really good. You would need to book for a table indoors. Friendly and efficient staff. This is our second visit and food is consistently of a very high standard . Will become...More

The menu is good and the quality of the food excellent. This is coupled with good service and a simple but good wine list.

Went for a quick meal and ordered fish and chips. Service was very quick and the food very nice. Open on a Sunday evening in summer which is unusual for a private country pub. A bit of a drive from the A27 but worth it...More

Description
This unique 17th century Inn houses a wonderful British restaurant and pub. You'll find it at the heart of the delightful Sussex village of Burpham, just 4 km from historic Arundel, surrounded by the glorious South Downs National Park. The menus are classic “best of British” food with a modern twist. Everything is home cooked with the freshest seasonal ingredients, locally sourced where possible. That means the specials menu changes all the time, so your tastebuds will always be delighted. Open for lunch 12-2 or 12-3 weekends, and from 6pm for dinner. Great wine menu and local Real Ale. This is a very family friendly place; well-behaved dogs are welcome to sit under the table in the pub area whilst you dine. Groups, weddings and private parties love it here and come back year after year. Bookings are recommended especially for Sunday lunch as it's always very busy.
