Pretty little tearoom in an historic village. Friendly staff, super coffee and the most wonderful cheese scones. They do delicious breakfasts too, gets very busy so try to book. Reasonable prices, highly recommended.

Called here en route back from holiday after visiting the wonderful Castle Acre priory. It is a very pretty village and has the castle ruins to visit as well so could probably get quite busy. The cafe is charming and the staff efficient,we only wanted a light lunch so chose the half soup and sandwich which were very tasty and... More

A busy yet friendly café with a wide selection of cakes including gluten free produce. We did visit this café some time ago but was not reviewing for trip advisor at that time. If I had have been I would have given it marks for excellence as I am now doing,Keep it up

Lovely cafe. Comfortable furnishings and overlooking village green. Great selection of teas and coffees. Good cake selection too. Cheese scones recommended! It does get very busy.

We were fortunate enough to be renting a cottage just opposite Barnfields Cafe and on checking out thought we'd pop in for some breakfast, on arrival I realised they were booked out but thought i'd ask if there was any way they could accommodate us.... The owner managed to jiggle things around and we were lucky enough to be sat... More

I arrived just after opening time on a Saturday and opted to sit outside with my to dogs and soon realized I had been lucky to get a seat as within minutes the place was full .The reason isn't hard to understand why as the food was just... This is a great cafe. Don't be put off by the tiny number of complaints. I have been coming here for years and it is consistently one of the best in Norfolk. Delicious, home made food, very attentive service and a lovely location. A delightful place for tourists, walkers and a great asset to the local community.

I have now visited this cafe on two of three occasions, the service has consistently been excellent as has the coffee! We were most impressed to be offered the choice of warm milk for the white coffee. I can also vouch for the cheese scones, yummy indeed. Offers outside seating to watch the world go by, weather permitting. Met some... More

We stumbled upon Barnfields on our way to North Norfolk but from now on will make it a feature of our journey from Oxford. This little cafe is nestled in the picturesque village of Castle acre. The indoor and outdoor seating is just lovely... we were greeted with a smile and the staff could not do enough for us.. cakes... More

Dropped in for lunch today. We hadn’t booked and called in on the off chance. We were seated in the window so were able to watch the world go by (walkers and cyclists mainly). We had the savoury tarts (the daily specials of goats cheese & caramelised red onion and cheese & ham) which were served with mixed salad leaves... More
