If we were to score the food it would be 100%. The service would be a lot less . On arrival we were ignored for a good 5 mins .we kept being looked at but no one helped us. We had booked a week in advance. The staff (I think all family ) were very slow . There were two children... More

Lovely pub off the Main Street really. We had a Groupon deal so it was a real bargain! Pub is a bit odd, mismatch furniture and difficult to get to the bar, but actually this makes it really cool. Bar staff are really lovely and attentive. We had dinner: fish cakes and linguine. Food was amazing. Some of the best... More

Don't let the "old" distract you from the quaint atmosphere that is the fox and castle pub. The quality of food, the portion sizes, and the prices are fantastic. My food baby is seriously happy after my roast Easter dinner. My only "complaint" is the level of service; it was slow and intermittent; we weren't checked on and our drinks... More

Lovely pub tucked away in a quiet area in old windsor. Perfect for family on a sunny day because they are well equipped in the garden with slide and trampoline for the kids. So parents can relax and don't worry about the kids. I can't really comment on the food as I had the basics : baked Camembert and scampi... More

We visited to take advantage of a Groupon. Booked lunch and sat outside in the garden as it was a fantastic day. Food was good (from a set menu because of the voucher). If you have little children, the garden is great as it has a sandpit, swings, trampoline and a climbing frame.

My boyfriend and I came here on Saturday night. We got lost and ended up walking for about an hour before finding it so we didn't arrive until 8:45pm. We hadn't booked but had been recommended to come by the owners of the B&B that we were staying at so thought we'd give it a shot. When we arrived, it... More

Having seen fantastic reviews online we were looking forward to a great family meal. It was early Saturday evening so very quiet, the welcome was barely adequate, the service was terrible, our daughter's food and drink was forgotten, I had to ask for both again. We weren't offered sauces nor was there any check on whether everything was ok at... More

This is my local pub and my family and I eat here regularly and can honestly say we have never been disappointed. The landlord James and his staff are warm and welcoming and the food served by Clive and his team is just delicious - from the roast dinners to the must-try fish and chips. It has a great outdoor... 3 of us had a superb meal here on a Saturday evening, without too much of a wait, & with very friendly service in a traditional pub. Great!

What a find!!!! A really friendly pub, the staff are all very friendly and very helpful. We went to have lunch. The food was excetionally good, especially for "pub grub". It is not often I get a steak cooked as requested. This was spot on. My wife, who usually leaves something on the plate, cleared the lot. That in itself... More
