About
The Fox And Castle is in parts 500 years old.It is your quintessential Black & White timbered building. According to the local historian there has been a pub on this site since 1216 a year after the Magna Carta was signed. We have adequate parking for cars and coaches and a very large garden probably seat in excess of a 100. We are family and dog friendly, log fires in winter and pims in the summer. We have around 40 whiskies and 40 specialist gins oh and a great wine list. We can cater for large parties pre booked and serve very high quality traditional English pub food. The building in its time has been in parts a butcher a baker sadly not a candle stick maker. We as new owners have since December

My friends live close to this pub so we had dinner there a few months ago. It was really good: decent, tasty, well cooked food. It has a nice atmosphere & is relaxed. The menu , I believe, offers something for everyone. I'm going back...this Friday & am looking forward to it. I would recommend this place.More

We used the pub for a celebration following the baptism of our daughter. There were approximately 35 adults as well as a few children and babies. Organising everything via email was very easy and Gillian was very helpful in making the buffet more bespoke to...our needs. On the day, the bar staff were more than happy for me to drop off decorations early, they even helped untangle all the balloons and put them out as I was in a rush! They also kept the cake cool in the cellar. The food tasted amazing and was all put out on time. The bar staff also gave us containers so people could take home leftovers! All cutlery and plates were also provided for the cake. I was kept informed of our bar tab and how much it was at, which was very helpful. This was a really great space for our celebration and I will definitely keep this place in mind for further parties!More

In these covid times I was finding it difficult to hold my Fathers Celebration of life after he died last November. So glad we chose this pub. Doing everything by email was so easy as we live now in Bracklesham. On the day the staff...were excellent and the food fantastic! Best buffet that I have seen in a pub. Thank you so much!More

Whilst on holiday in the area The Fox and Castle became our favourite spot for meals. It is very clean and welcoming inside and in the immaculate garden. The food was well presented and very tasty. Service by Camilla was so friendly and efficient that...it was a major factor making us want to return each time. She is great at her job and a credit to the company.More

Very friendly welcome. We had 2 hours to kill waiting for a friend to arrive at Heathrow airport and wanted a well priced evening meal in a relaxed setting. The pub is a beautiful old building with relaxed atmosphere. The staff visited 3 times to...check our food was ok. My wife had the prawn penang curry and I had the vegetarian option. Perfect sized portions cooked well and fresh. Excellent taste.More

Although the weather was not as nice as expected, at least the rain held off for us to enjoy a fabulous lunch at the Fox & Castle. The garden is spectacularly impressive with lovey wooden pagoda style seating areas, a vegetable patch & even a...French boules pitch! Service & food was faultless, my son was particularly impressed with the bacon chop on the specials menu. Thank you all at the Fox & Castle, we will be back soon!More
