We really enjoyed the food at the Wine Tasting event yesterday. The menu was interesting and the food extremely tasty. A really good evening. The lamb course was excellent and we really enjoyed the petit fours fudge...

Popped into The Falcon on an off chance. What a find, we were made to feel welcome by very friendly staff. Asked about a certain beer and was given a tasting sample, that's what I call service. Our meal was duly ordered and arrived within ten minutes, freshly cooked, delicious, and piping hot - just the way I like it.... More

Popped in for supper over the bank holiday, without having made a booking. The staff were so kind - when asked what time they closed, the answer was 'when the last person leaves'! The interior was lovely - lots of fireplaces and cosy corners, plus a whole pile of board games!! The food was great - an interesting menu with... More

Dropped in here for an en route late lunch and got a pleasant surprise. Attentive and pleasant staff and really good food. I mention the musak because it seems obligatory to blast you with frenetically shouted musak wherever you choose to eat and it comes as a relief when it ceases! The Falcon stream their music from a website and... More

Booked by phone in the morning for a late lunch. On arrival we were met and looked after by very friendly helpful staff. We had a deli board to share for starter and burgers for main. All the food was excellent. Sadly we could not stay for dessert but we will be back soon.

We ate lunch at the Falcon after a longish walk so arrived feeling hungry. We had two courses for £12 - smoked mackrell with pickle and an unusual treacle sourdough, followed by sausage and mash with vegetables and gravy. All really tasty and well presented, but leaving no room for a pudding. Good choice of well kept beers with a... More

We choose to have dinner at The Falcon on Pie Night which provides excellent value as you get a freshly prepared and cooked pie with choice of potatoes and fresh vegetables, real gravy along with a drink for £12.00 per person. On this occasion the pies were chicken and ham hock which were really nice and tasty. A couple of... More

We had a "light lunch" here whilst attending an event in the nearby village hall. We hadn't booked, and on the Saturday, there was no problem and we, along with several others had a lovely relaxed lunch, washed down with local ales. The service is friendly and a little above usual "pub grub" food. On Sunday lunch-time, the place was... More

What a terrific pub! I'd been recommended The Falcon by someone who used to drink there several years back, and who thought the food was good. They weren't wrong. A simply splendid gourmet (£15.95) was well made - and cooked medium rare - using Wagyu beef. It came with fries, a blue cheese add-on and an intriguing little pot of... More

A very nice relaxed atmosphere and the staff couldn't do enough to ensure your experience was what you would expect from a village pub.
