I have visited this Pub now on a few occasions, since the Management has changed. I was totally satisfied with the service received, and good to see from a country pub. Brilliant Andy

It was ok, steak sandwich was good and the kids egg and bacon sandwich was ok too. What was disappointing that the table was sticky and when the food was served on boards they didn't fit on the table, the waitress left my daughters half...More

Hi Tamsin, Thank you for your review and apologies that everything wasn't as expected. I am actively seeking an alternative to the boards but it does also sound like common sense didn't prevail in your case - something which we will address. With regards to...More

We were regular customers at the Golden Pot, but it has new owners who are failing badly and have no idea about running a pub restaurant. We booked a table and waited 35 minutes before they were able to take an order for food. Without...More

So....... Lets begin at the beginning: This is the second time we've seen you as a 'regular customer' - the first time you had a young waitress very close to tears and this time you actually succeeded. You booked a table at very short notice...More

I've just taken the family out - mother in Law, wife and 2 girls. Really great service. Fresh fish - good food. Welcoming but relaxed atmosphere all round. So in short, I'd recommend to anyone. Will return soon.

We were staying in the area and wanted somewhere to eat. We entered this sweltering and virtually empty pub. We were not acknowledged, there was a child behind the bar and there were no menus. We waited at the bar for the few customers there...More

Yes I believe so, the owner has a dog himself. I remember dogs being in there around the bar area, but that was about 18 months ago, you can always ring and check.
