A lovely meal- fresh, hot, plentiful & healthy. Lots of choice- a good menu and plenty of specials. Fine reward after an exhilarating walk over Witherslack with fine views. A welcoming pub restaurant with relaxed, comfortable seating.

20 of us are here, only nice redeeming meal we had was the regular burger. Fish was disappointing, chicken burger was very very dry and literally just a piece of chicken in a bun. The girl serving us was unfriendly, uncooperative and not at all...More

Excellent lunchtime meal at a reasonable price. Good service, good portions and the food was full of flavour. Great place for lunch, highly recommended.

Made an unscheduled visit following a Sunday walk. Luckily there were a few tables available and, despite there being quite a large group on one table, the service was friendly and efficient. Try the Sunday roast, excellent value for money.

Staying in Grange-over-Sands does not have many opportunities for eating in the evenings. This Pub, though now primarily a restaurant, fills that need. The menu is short but more than adequate and the food good. they also serve `real´ beer.

My husband and I popped in for a sandwich. Lovely welcome as we walked through the door. My husband had a ale which was well poured. We had humorous and pepper ciabatta which was well presented with salad and chips. They were very tasty.

The Derby Arms joined the Ainscoughs Pub team in December 2008 after extensive restoration. Serving good food, beer and wine in a traditional environment with log fires and period furniture just like the rest of the pubs in the group. We have now been recommended in the Michelin Pub Guide for 2014 and have won the 'Pub of the Season' award, CAMRA. We have a games room with a pool table and dart board which is intended to form the focus of the village. The Derby Arms was purchased from Punch Taverns by the Witherslack Community Land Trust and the Ainscough Family took over the lease to preserve it as part of Witherslack life. Part of the pub was converted into the village shop, run by the community with community shareholders.
