Everything in is warming and authentic Rioja... the village, the staff, their own piece of land where they get the vegetables, the flavours, the unique dessert wine Postremus, the cellar, the upstairs lounge place where the time is stopped for a quick siesta or finish the dinner in a cosy atmosphere. Nowadays is such important the food than the experience... More

Great rioja wine goes without saying, but the entrees of a veal tenderloin and a black (calimari) risotta were truly outstanding. Salad to order and ven the bread was different and better!

This restaurant was a true treat during our wine tour. The food was absolutely delicious and the service was extremely elegant. We were able to tour the downstairs cellar with the friendly and hospitable owner Jorge and this was extremely special! His knowledge of the region and wines was a delight and we would HIGHLY recommend dining here if in... More

very nice dining room, very friendly staff. Was the second time wevisited, and the food this time was not up to the prices charged, unfortunately. Entrants vegetables were great, but croquettas not as you get them in other places. Solomillo or filet was not as you get it in this regon neither, once you get used to the tender succulent... More

It s not only eating there but visiting the place that makes it worth a visit. We had the menu for 33€ each and it was excellent and very complete (does not include wine or drinks) with 4 different courses. We had booked from our hotel but it was not full at night, although we were told it s better... More

the absolute highlight of our trip. we had wanted to go to the other restaurant in casalarreina, el bodejo viejo, but they were booked. when we walked into dona isabela's, it was not inspiring, but looked ok. the restaurant wasn't busy, but had a lot of people for only one waiter. he managed admirably! this isn't hovering service, this is... The restaurant holds a personal record. Never I have spent 35 € per person for a meal and still be hungry. The portions were ridicilous small and overpriced. And the quality of the products were average. If you ever find yourselves in Casalarreina take your car and find some place else to eat.
