This idyllic mountain setting never fails! I was in this part of the world over the Halloween holiday, pints of Ginty are the best in Ireland!! See you again at Easter.

We stayed in Downings at the beginning of November. We went to this pub twice for food. Food was excellent - friendly staff and gorgeous open fire. Lovely little play ground out front for children. Well worth a visit

Went here with two friends on Friday eve at half 6. Lovely menu, good value on steaks as they were running a steak night! Waitress wasn't very friendly and felt as if we were an inconvenience to her from minute we walked in! Took our food order, had to ask her to take our drinks order, I'd say she would... More

We planned to visit here for dinner on Friday. We have been many times before and we can always rely on the Singing Pub. This time was no exception. After the usual friendly welcome we ordered the steak on a stone, and the seafood chilli platter. Both dishes were wonderful, we could not recommend them highly enough. If you order... More

Lovely old pub, peat fires burning and a really nice menu. Landlord was quiet but better for talking to. Its a bit of a drive to get to but the views of the wild atlantic way are so worth it! We went in the afternoon and the pub was open but do check opening times in winter.

Had been informed about this little pub before going to Downings so before coming home Sunday evening we stopped by for dinner. Debated about what to order but finally went with the steak on the hot stone and cane safely say it was one of the most beautiful steaks I have ever tasted. Everything from the presentation, price, quantity of... More

I was out on a family hike with some family members and looking forward to some refreshments at the singing pub. To our dismay, the pub was closed as the busy season had just passed. Although they were not scheduled to open for several hours, the gracious hosts that they were, they opened just for us and I was able to... More

This was the nearest pub/restaurant to the holiday house we tended in rural Donegal. We were able to visit only once as by w/b 10 October they stopped serving food unless at weekends. This was a great disappointment as we had really enjoyed our dinner there. My 10oz sirloin cooked medium-rare and then served sizzling on a lava stone with... More

We were here in March 2016 and the food was great. Returned again in September 2016 where all 10 of us had the Sizzling steak which we all enjoyed. Great atmosphere and lovely staff. If going at weekend I'd recommend that you book in plenty of time as it's very busy.

We stayed overnight in our motorhome at this pub. They have plenty of space and even electric hook-ups and other facilities. The pub is very popular and gets very busy. But there is always space for two more. The food menu is extensive and the meals are generously proportioned. Waiter service is quick and efficient, and the prices were reasonable.
