Very, very disappointed with our meal at this hotel. Used to love going to to this venue as the views are spectacular and the food used to be very good. I understand there are staffing issues at most eateries at the moment and that could...explain the rather limited menu but is NOT an excuse for a poor quality meal. The chips accompanying our meals were barely warm and the side salad consisted of just green leaves, no tomato or cucumber. Fish was over cooked and my husband’s Parma was wafer thin. I gave a score of 2/5 as the view is still great but sadly we won’t be returning to eat at this hotel again.More

Our experience at Wye Beach Hotel was lovely. The staff were friendly, we went at the beginning of lunch so it wasn't too busy on a Sunday. Our table of 5 all had great meals and they were fairly quick to come out. It helped...that it was a gorgeous day and we could sit outside in the sun. We also had two dogs with us which wasn't a problem on the deck. Can recommend!More

The Hotel was cold, the heating is inadequate. It is also dirty. The toilets need a good scrub, broken floor tiles need replacing and they should use table numbers not tacky stickers. The barmaid kept wiping her nose and played with her hair the whole...time we were there. They started counting the till 1/2 an hour before the advertised closing time. My husband’s chips were cold, and my side salad consisted of lettuce in oil! We would not go back there.More

$30 roast, served luke warm, plate cold, meat tough and a pathetic effort. Others with us were not impressed with their meals, $40 for a steak which was nice with a lack lustre salad consisting of green leaves only. Pub is tired and so is...the chef. Apparently it has just been sold so chef( dog stiffener ) may be pissed off. It has loads of room for improvement including the tired toilets with dirty windows. Yuppy beers on tap, no CUB beers on tap only packaged available which is unfortunate. Great selection of wine. Bar staff excellent. Paul Brown the current owner has obviously had enough. Hopefully will get some needed enthusiasm from new owner. Always has been brilliant in the past.More

The view from this pub is amazing! There are ample menu options including some great vegan options - which is a hard find around here, The service is friendly and the prices are about what you would expect. Was here around 12 months ago and...was not overly impressed - it has definitely improved! Thank you :)More

Was staying in Cumberland River Holiday park for my birthday and decided to go out for dinner at the Wye river pub for one night. Noticed on their website at roughly 4pm that they had availability for their 5 o’clock session and a waiting list...for the 7 o’clock session for that night. Arrived at the pub at roughly 4:30pm and were told that they were fully booked out for the 5 o’clock session and their website was wrong however we could sit outside as they couldn’t be booked. We ordered dinner and took a seat outside on the seats below. To only be disappointed that our food came out in takeaway containers meanwhile every other table around us had dine in food. The staff were incompetent and told us that it’s takeaway only in that seating area and it’s just recently changed. Yet people in the same seating area had dine in food. Asked for our food to be served as dine in and the staff refused and gave no apology. Really disappointed in the staff and will never go back. Completely understandable if it had been changed but needs to be consistent and patrons needs to be informed or we wouldn’t have stayed. To make it worse the food was terribleMore

Great food, happy friendly service and a sensational view. It has plenty of room inside and an indoor/outdoor area, as well as seating outside all with an awesome view.

Stopped into Pub for lunch on our way to Portland. The view, the food, & the service excellent. We shared & enjoyed Korean BBQ Pork Bao, celeriac & sage soup, & Fish Pakoras. The soup was delicious, as were pakora’s & Bbq Bao. We had...wine by the glass - a Pinot Grigio & a rose. HighlY reccoMore

We had two different meals off the Light Lunch menu. They were both excellent, perfectly cooked and tasty. Judging by these two meals I'm assuming the other meals are very good too. Wide range of craft beers on tap. Very good service and great views....Well worth a visit.More

Beautiful view, great wine and alcohol menu. Slowed cooked Marsala beef ribs were delicious. Meal size generous. Also tried the steak and burgers and hasn’t disappointed yet. They also do great coffee. Beautiful venue for a wedding.

Not impressed with service, very average actually. Not only i was waiting for menu's..the girls behind the bar were hurrily 'scoofing' a dessert whilst it was past 12 ready for the lunch service. Lunch came, it was passable as it was basic, $110....later. My local...pub does a better job.More

Great location but worst steak I’ve ever had. Supposed to be wagyu rump cooked sous vide🤔🤔 sous vide maybe but definitely not long enough, wagyu no way! Very cheap cut of rump. Sorry guys but just not good enough for $38.

How does a pub stuff up a burger and a steak this badly? Burger patty was overcooked and dry. Bun was stale, dry and fell apart. Steak was listed on the menu as only being done 'medium rare' but was so overcooked that it was...like chewing on rubber. Staff looked like they didn't want to be there, didn't bring out cutlery with our meals and then were nowhere to be seen. Had heard such great things about this pub, but was incredibly disappointed. One star for the view and one for the chips (at least they were edible).More

Amazing view, food not! We both got the beef burger and it was really disappointing to be honest. The brioche bun tasted old and the beef pattie was dry and burnt and it cost $29! Maybe just get chips and beer. It’s a shame because...the view truly is spectacular.More

We paid $30 each for the worst chicken parmigiana I have ever had. There was more bread crumbs than chicken trust me. The chicken had been beaten to about 3 mm. thick and there was 3 mm. of bread crumbs on either side. Along with...this were re-heated chips, brown and hard. Their "salad" was just a handful of rocket and lettuce. To add insult to injury, we were charged $20 for a pot of Coopers Ale and a scotch and dry. The only reason they exist is because it's around 30 minutes to the nearest alternative. Throw something on the BBQ at the caravan park, you'll be much better off.More
