Be sure to make a reservation if going on the weekend or be prepared to wait. I was there on Friday and there was a steady lineup of people who did not call ahead. The place is a converted house, as are many of the local dining places in this village, so it is not big. Much of the original... More

We were lead here by our kayaking guide after a day on the Fjord and had a great meal outside behind the restaurant. The waiter was great - very patient with our lack of French and very helpful with suggestions. The food was amazing, with a real focus on local food and beer. I had the red deer burger with... More

Our dinner here was the best we had on our entire two week trip in the region, and the overall evening one of the trip highlights. The value for quality of food here is very high- we would pay twice the same amount in our own city for the dinner we ate here. Fantastic kids menu, great local ingredients, just... More

JF told us about the best crags and ice climbing in the region, in addition to the awesome beer and fish and chips. Take time to enjoy the view too.

I spent an afternoon here in July, the wheather was great, everyone was sitting outside and enjoying the view of the fjord and the hills. The bistro was well frequented although it was only afternoon, a lot of people came there to eat with their families, in the evenings there is often live music - when I was there, the... More

We ended up at that place after a day long of kayaking and sailing. That was such a great place to enjoy their very special hamburgers, made of red deer meat, with so many different options of taste. Resting htere a bit, having a wonderful local beer and their large hamburgers and fries was the best thing that could have... More

We absolutely loved all our dished, the gourmet pizza, the fish and chips and the amazing poutine dressed with red deer meat and veggies. Service was excellent and on a nice evening has a great view.

The bistro has a great outdoor terrace with a beautiful view. Service was a bit slow but on the plus side they don't rush you out at the end of your meal so you can linger and enjoy the outdoors. We had burgers and fish and chips - nothing to rave about but good basic value.

We stayed 4 nights in L'Anse, and ate here 4 times. Good bistro style food sourced from local ingredients and well presented. We enjoyed all the meals and the terrace overlooking the salmon river and over to the fjord has a great ambiance. Food was tasty and service attentive and friendly. After a day of activities, this was a great... More

The restaurant is located well off the road so you might not find it easily. It was recommended by a local and for a beer and burger place it was fun with great food and a lovely host. He made excellent suggestions and we had 4 enjoyable meals.
