The decor is charmingly 1970s and on a clear day the views are spectacular. Bookings are essential and prices range from $40 to $70 per person for a set menu where you chose 3-4 courses from a range of available dishes. Not cheap, but worth every cent as the food is first rate and the service is impeccable. The dishes on... More

Travelled up the Gondola for only ¥600 return ticket. We had lunch up on the mountain to celebrate our engagement. Staff were so friendly and sat us at the window seat which overlooked Hakuba with amazing views. Be sure to go on a nice clear sunny day for the perfect views. The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Will come... More

Simple Western menu featuring hot dogs, fries, onion rings, beer, coffee, etc. At least the onion rings were crispy. Green tea latte was good.

To get here you need to take the Happo One gondola and then the Alpen quad lift. You do not need to be geared up to get here in case you are wondering. The lift passes in Hakuba are limited to their respective mountains, so unless you have the Happo One lift pass, you can't go on gondola. However, if... More

For skiers try and eat here although you lose about 1 hrs 30 mins for lunch it's totally worth it. Shed the ski boots strap on a pair of the most comfortable slippers you will ever wear and feast on some amazing local delights. Worth all of the £27 per person for 3 course. Great value!

We came to Hakuba last season, when I don't think this restaurant even existed. Our expectations of "on mountain" dining in Japan based on last year were that it was ok, but more of a utilitarian "refuelling" self service cafeteria style experience, serving Japanese food with a few random (and rather hit and miss) attempts at western style cuisine. Being... More

Enjoy a romantic and special white table cloth lunch up at the top of Happo-One in a small (seats max 26) quaint restaurant overlooking the Happo-One mountain. You take the Alpen Quad chairlift up and it's right there. There is a casual cafe in front with nice but less panoramic views. The less expensive cafe has a running video of... More

Located in the middle of Happo-one Ski Resort, the restaurant offers a breathtaking view when the sky is clear. Don't come here with higher expectation for food though. While you can say food are decent, they are overpriced and you can probably come up with the similar quality with retort pouches from grocery stores. A meal here is definitely not... More
