If you plan to visit the south of Mauritius, make sure you stop by "Chez Rosy" for lunch, and try the fantastic "Langouste sauce rouge".

A nice place next to Gris Gris beach. A wide selection of options from grilled lobster and seafood , roasted chicken, curries of seafood, vegetable and meat, and other local dishes. Grilled fish was very good , well grilled with an accompaniment of fries. The roasted chicken was tender and paired with a delicious sauce with a star anise flavor.... More

We do go to this restaurant quite often and have never been disappointed. The welcome is great and the food delicious and reasonably priced. Grilled lobster and all the sea food dishes are just exceptional. If you are visiting the south of the island do not miss the opportunity to have lunch there.

Stopped in for a light lunch and ended up with more than we expected. The crispy calamari starter was enough for teo and absolutely scrumptious! The mains of grilled fish and curried fish were accompanied by rice, fries and salad - really good value for money and highly recommended.

We enjoyed a lovely lunch here on our taxi driver's recommendation. My husband had a fish meal and i enjoyed a mauritian curry. Both meals were lovely and fresh and very tasty. Good value as well.

If you are in the area and don't eat there, it's your fault. Chez Rosy is one of those rare authentic places, that you'll never forget. You can have the best seafood for absolutely fantastic prices. Unfortunately not open in the evenings, but enjoy lunch and afterwards go visit La Roch qui pleure to digest!

A very friendly restaurant, good value for money. Short menu but the right products at the right place. Some restaurants should take example. Recommend Fresh grilled lobster if they have, tasted also the Ourite (Octopus) curry. Dessert , banana with rum and vanilla ice cream.

I can't believe it's 4 years ago since I posted my last review of this place, we visit Mauritius twice a year and always visit Chez Rosy each time we go. Excellent Mauritian food and good value, can be slow so get there early at lunchtime, good value, very popular with the locals. Can recommend
