I think this place must have changed hands as it's not what it used to be. Slow service, small portions and poor quality food. Disappointing.

This is a very good take away place in Taumarunui, your meals are put in a little box then a bag, great very friendly staff, value for money only open from 5pm though, gets very busy during the ski season so if you got the...More

A great place for some of the best fish and chips I have tasted, very pleasant staff, they always have a smile and a friendly greeting.

Takeaway or dine in option. Once found a hair in our takeaway toasty and rang to complain - didn't seem to care too much. Not the best but not the worst food establishment.

Prior to the carriage changing hands it was, I believe a very successful business that supplied amazing food and meals by both take away and restaurant. Unfortunately the level of service and the meals have dropped in presentation and size.

Brilliant! Two pieces of fresh Hoki and scoop of Kumara chips - $9.50! You can't do better than that! Went back more than once during my few days in Taumarunui!! Tino pai!

Sadly, the 'dining' opportunities available in this town are limited. The fish and chips at this place are acceptable, it can just be hard knowing when it will be open!
