Just back from a meal at the Sodbury Steakhouse and can not use enough positive words to describe the experience. The setting, service and food were all exceptional. I would certainly recommend it and will definitely be returning.

Enjoyed the trio of roast meats and extra tatties. Good homemade soup to start. Good value food & wine. I would like to see cheese & biscuits offered as a dessert, it is after all money for old rope and I'd probably have a glass of port. Khasis are clean. Parking in the high street. Friendly staff, both bar and... More

This pub is renowned for its steaks. A bargain night out.... they do an early bird special Mon-Thurs 6-7. Two steaks and a glass of wine or beer each for £20. And in a Thursday you can take your own wine with no corkage charge! Lovely!

You enter an ordinary looking pub from the mainstreet to find that The Squire has a great steak restaurant at the rear which provided very nice food , well presented by friendly staff

Was looking forward to a visit and suggested to friends who were very sceptical they join us , initially impressed with the decor etc but went downhill from then on The drinks service was awful painfully slow and had to ask 3 times at one stage , when I asked for another jug of water she didn't take the empty... After recommendations from friends and family, tried the Sodbury Steakhouse for a family birthday dinner. Several of us opted for the steak options, and were not disappointed as all were delicious. Staff were attentive but not over-bearing and nothing was too much trouble. The restaurant was full for the whole duration of our meal so it seems like a popular... More

Very busy pub so it was good to see that the restaurant is quieter at teh rear of the pub. Good menu and very nice food. Starters ranged from belly pork to scotch eggs soup and bread with olives and dipping oils. Main courses cater for all tastes and pockets. We all ate steak which was very good but to... More

Had a really nice meal at the Sodbury Steak House this evening. Started with the honey and salt glazed belly pork starter which was incredibly tasty. Next I had a ribeye steak perfectly cooked (medium) with just some salt and pepper for seasoning and my wife had southern fried chicken with garlic cheese "biscuits" (actually the lightest tastiest cheese scones... Came here to eat before the rugby & all we can say is Wow!! The ribs are huge, Fillet steak cooked to perfection & the Maple Ham Hock with bubble & squeak was delicious! All meals were well presented & the service was great too! Would definitely recommend!

Popped in for a quick lunch mid week. Great service, pleasant bar staff. Set menu very good value. Brie was yummy and the fish and chip portions were of a good size, to say the least! Atmosphere fine at the front of the pub, but the restaurant at the rear was somewhat lacking... well, it was late, perhaps it just... More
