We were advised to visit by a local, great pub and live music on the Sunday. We visited twice as the food was delicious and plentiful. Highly recommended

Dropped in after creating an appetite walking on the nearby beach of Tullagh. I had the most wonderfully tasty ribs with a really good sauce-a lot of finger licking. I had a fish main and my companion had their burger. We were both full and so satisfied. There was some traditional live music in the front area and this added... More

The pub food and atmosphere you came to Ireland for. We ate dinner here twice, yummy food, great guiness - of course, friendly staff, music and local clients. Do make a reservation - they are that popular.

Definitely worth a visit. Our food was excellent - there were four of us and we all liked everything we ordered. The pub itself is well appointed with friendly staff.

We were expecting pub food, but in reality it far surpassed our expectations. We loved the food, service, atmosphere and entertainment so much we went back a second night.

We ate at the Rusty Nail Pub when we were visiting the area for a family wedding at nearby Ballyliffin Lodge. What a great night we all had - the food was just gorgeous and plentiful and the Guinness happily flowed. The seafood chowder was just divine! We ended up staying until the early hours, joined by other family members... More

Situated at the foot of the Urris Hills on The Wild Atlantic Way, The Rusty Nail is one of Inishowen's hidden gems. With a welcoming open fire and friendly locals, The Rusty Nail provides a warm atmosphere to enjoy a good pint, a bit of craic, and of course great food. This traditional food pub, run by local couple Maresa & Enda McDonagh has an extensive bar food menu including favourites such pan-fried seabass fillets, cauliflower puree, grilled asparagus & salsa verde and grilled 30-day aged fillet steak, roast onion puree, watercress, traditional tobacco onions & red wine jus as well as a varied selection of pasta, vegetarian and gluten free options. The Rusty Nail hosts live traditional music sessions every Sunday evenings and caters for parties and family functions all year around. There are also many local activities nearby such as horse riding at Tullagh Bay Equestrian Centre, walks to Glenevin Waterfall, a visit to Dunree Fort as well relaxing walks on Leenan, Binion, or Tullagh strands. A journey along the Wild Atlantic Way wouldn't be the same without a visit to The Rusty Nail.
