Please go! If you aren't an imbecile like many of my fellow Americans, you will appreciate the simple menu. Catch of the day and shrimp. Minimal side. Best tarter sauce on the planet! (I'm from a seafood state) we will be returning. If you are...More

We had excellent seafood at Zeerovers, we actually at it on the ocean, fish and birds all around waiting for leftovers. Price was reasonable, food was well prepared and all in all it was a great experience!

You buy fish/shrimp by the pound and they fry it for you. You can have sides like fries, corn bread and plantains. You also order the tartar sauce and vinegar onions. Everything was great except for the cornbread. My son loved the cornbread though. The...More

Wonderful food and atmosphere. Sat out on the deck over the ocean and feed the seagulls our shrimp heads. A definite must for a down to earth, casual, local experience

I went with my family and ordered fish, shrimp, fries and plantain. As you probably know by now, everything here is deep fried. Basically you arrive and make the line to order, then they give you a piece of wood with a number. You go...More

A number of people, both tourists and locals, recommended stopping at Zeerovers. We had visited the Baby Beach area, so we took a quick trip to Savaneta to find the place. Basically, you arrive and stand in line to select your options. We stood in...More

Nice fresh seafood with flavor. Great flavor nice staff. You walk up pick out what you want and they make it right there. They have homemade tartar sauce. I recommend this restaurant.

This spot embraces "keep it simple" and they do it beautifully! The menu: fresh caught fish and shrimp, corn bread, pickled onions and tartar sauce. That's it baby! You order the seafood raw by weight, and your order heads to the kitchen. You visit the...More

Directions below are right. Look for all the cars, and a Pirate Flag. They are just up the road from Flying Fishbone, and a landmark for the road to turn down is a Super Foods. Explore! Buy a t shirt!

Description
Zeerovers is a local bar and restaurant situated on the waterfront in the fishermen's town of Savaneta. Here we serve fresh fried fish and shrimps with side orders of fried plantain, french fries, pan bati(local version of cornbread), onions in vinegar and tartarsauce. Everything is served to you in a basket as you sit on the dock overlooking the water as fishermen bring in their catch which in fact could have been your meal if you came a few hours later. That said, this is not a place for fancy dining but rather a place where you are welcomed to kick back, relax and get your hands dirty.
