The restaurant has a pleasant grape arbor outdoor setting and is reached by walking away from the Danube up the hill for about 6 minutes. The house wine is drinkable, and the food excellent as well as the service.

We stayed in this Immaculate traditional hotel on a cycling trip down the Danube and took dinner in the hotel, mainly because we were too tired to go out anywhere. What a lucky choice. The menu has superb traditional Austrian food cooked in a modern light manner. It is not at all stodgy, but rich and flavoursome and elegant. Quite... More

Surprisingly a delicious meal! All 3 of us enjoyed our meal (we ate the John Dory, veggie pancake, and spinach dumplings). Highly recommend. A cosy pub feel.

They have really fantastic dishes! Paprika soup was unbelievable, carpaccio was so fresh, fish was succulent and chanterelles was unique! When we stay there, citizen came with their music instrument and started to sing traditional songs! It was very nice evening!

The food is more than correct. The Backhuhn is absolutely recommended. Please do not leave the place without tasting their fruit wines and fruit brandies! They offer real delicacies! Enjoy!

This restaurant has a wonderful old world inn feel and look. We had paprika soup, the asparagus soup, the schnitzel and a traditional boiled beef dinner with orange and yellow carrots with horseradish. We enjoyed all of it and it was a perfect topper to a long day of site seeing.

We visited the restaurant Saturday night. Came to Grein as part of the Danube bike trip, and asked locals on the street where they would eat. The place was full of locals, which always is a good sign. We have ordered deer goulash and vienna schnitzel. Both dishes were big and tasty and the service was fast. I can highly... More

We visited this restaurant while on a Danube bike trip with a family of adults and must unfortunately agree with some other reviewers that the food is just average. Maybe choosing Reh (deer) was not the best choice but all main meals seem to consist of a lot of sauce. We also ordered one portion of Kaiserscharrm for dessert to... More
