We had lunch right after visiting the alpha parc which is next door, 5 mins walk. We had a menu and it is very good and fresh food, 0 km, huge portions, and the trouts are from a breeding which is right visible from the Terrace where you eat

We had lunch here just before visiting Parc Alpha and we weren't disappointed. We enjoyed all three courses in the €26 menu and the service was efficient and friendly. Although the dining area is fairly large it felt cosy and the tables are well spaced. Advisable to book in advance.

If you are visiting Parc Alpha you simply have to eat here

The restaurant is above the ticket office on the outside of the park. Arrive for lunch and enjoy one of the best meals of your trip. We certainly did. There was something for everyone and they even adapted a dish for one of our fussy eaters. Try the Biere du Compte which is brewed nearby. The meal was a highlight of the day and of our time in France.

I was visiting the Alpha park with a group and we had a lunch in the restaurant. I was surprised in a relatively out of the way spot to find such an excellent meal, very tasty, very nicely presented. The restaurant is well decorated, has a great terrace for outside eating. The surrounding views of the mountains are beautiful. The staff were friendly and efficient and the cost was extremely fair for the quality of meal. It is worth the detour for the ambience and the food even if the Alpha park is not your destination. Food is served all day.

No complaints. We had the menu which was foie de volaille and foie gras appetiser and a daube de joue de boeuf as a main. Everything was delicious. It was a nice day and we were able to eat on the terrace overlooking the Parc du Mercantour. Service was friendly. If ever in the area again, we would go back!

Highlight of our holiday in France

We purposely set this restaurant as our destination for a drive and were not disappointed. Firstly the setting is stunning, fresh mountain air and breathtaking scenery. The service is of such a high standard and we could not fault the experience. The food was a lovely mix of chalkboard specials and favourites. We ordered three courses from the specials - all full of flavour and so fresh. We think the steak was the best we have had for a very long time. We had questions about some of the origins and ingredients of the dishes and all were answered with excellent knowledge. Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

We had a late lunch here (all day service) after we visited the Alpha wolf park and were pleasantly surprised. Food is good, nice portions, well-presented, not too expensive, service is good and atmosphere is log cabin-like with an open fireplace. Kids are welcomed and there is space for them to wander or sit and play in the lounge area. Definitely recommend you eat here if you are in the Boreon/St. Martin Vesubie/Colmiane area.
