Heard loads of great things about here so we decided to try it out today. I ordered scampi and chips, nearly 18euro, I didn't mind as it was a treat. Chips were nice but was very disappointed with the scampi. I noticed in the 1st one that the vein was left in it, immediately turned me off.. then I found... More

We planned our first night away without the kids and we picked Vaughans for our 1 night getaway as we had stayed there a couple of times before. We had dinner there on the night in the restaurant and it was lovely. Food was excellent and staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast the following morning was also very good. However... More

Our second time visiting vaughans! Our room was really nice and clean, the cookies left in the room was a really nice touch. The food at Vaughans is excellent, the fish and chips are as good as you will get anywhere.

Visited on a day with awful weather, returning (soaked) from the Cliffs of Moher, to be greeted by warming fire a good food. Clearly a haunt for locals as well as tourists, the food was excellent in terms of quality, quantity and price. One minor issue - if using credit cards, beware, the card reader takes a long time to... More

Beautiful food and excellent service. Highly recommend the fish and chips! Would definitely pass on the advice which was given to us - perfect stop after visiting the cliffs. Would be back.

Stopped by for lunch after visiting the Cliffs of Moher. Staff were very friendly and the food was absolutely superb. Chips were cooked to perfection as was the fish and scampi. Other members of the party had dessert and the feedback was very positive. Pricing was very reasonable coming in at less than €100 or four people including desserts and... More

Stopped by for lunch and the seafood was so fresh and cooked to a very high standard. It is a very Irish bar with a real local feel. Staff were very helpful...had a very homely feel.

Vaughans reputation preceeded it and in general the experience was nice but it was slightly overpriced we felt. I work in the industry and can vouch for the quality of the food and the wine list was good but for prices like these av e25 for a main course I would have liked better service - the staff are lovely... I come here a few times a year when in the area and sometimes take a 30 min detour to get here. It's a pub in the best sense of the Irish definition. It is complete with the grocery counter at the front . All that is missing is the snug from many years ago. Pints of Guinness taste like... More
