My wife and I went for Dinner. Had the Chicken Wings starter (only starter on the menu) followed by Catch of the day/BBQ Chicken. Food was OK but nothing special. The place had no music and lacked atmosphere. Husband and wife operation. Nice people.

Hi Alan , Thank you for your review, First of all sorry about no music that night, usually music is on everynight, however that particular night , our radio was out to fix ,after the frequent loss of electricity in our area it was spoilt . Sorry about that. Secondly ,mango chicken wings is the only starter on our menu... More

Really nice simple beachside restaurant. Food is great, try the mandarin chicken wings and the catch of the day. Service is good and it's a very chilled out experience. However they don't have a drinks licence so bring your own beer/wine/rum punch

Went to D'Almond Tree last night and had a great meal - mahi mahi and curry goat. The fish was the best we have had so far in Tobago- and that's saying something as on this trip we've been eating fish two times a day! The goat was great too. Lovely atmospheric location set back from the beach. Friendly family-owned... More

We went here one evening on our trip and had a delicious fish dish with great veg and wedges :-) It's not open very often so try catch it while you can! They have a select menu but you won't be disappointed. It's also bring your own drinks so you can get some beers from the local shop. Very reasonable... More

Gorgeous food, cooked with local ingredients. Pricey just like any other place in Tobago, but we lived that the ingredients were local and there were veggie options. Lovely family who serve well too!

We were staying at the Naturalist while staying in Castara so this place was a stones throw away. Lovely local food that was freshly cooked in a gorgeous setting. It was also one of the few places serving food in Castara every night during low season; most other places were a lot more hit and miss.

This is a gem. It is not a place that you would likely find on your own. It is at the end of a short path adjacent to the beach parking area. The service is by a gentleman and the cooking appears to be home style as seen through the cutout into the kitchen. The food is superb! There are... More

Had a lovely dinner at D'Almond Tree Restaurant. One of few restaurant options in the small village of Castara well worth a visit. You will find a reasonable amount of food options, all local food and you will not be dissapointed.

We have been coming to D'Almond Tree for a number of years & Vera's cooking has steadily improved. Also, the range of entre selections has grown. She's the only one who uses boneless goat for her curry goat - all the rest have little bones that you have to chew around. The flavor is fabulous! Also her rosemary potatoes are... More
