Because of the good reviews of Tripadvisor, we went to this restaurant. Its athmosphere looked nice, with a beautiful view to the harbour to Katapola. So we were expecting a good dinner-experience there, but unfortunately it was not the case. There were 5 "dishes of the day" offered, we tried 2 of them. One was little fishes, where the fishes... A terrace on the beach, delicious hostesses and delicious food: how could you ask for more? We went two times at Karamel during our stay in Katapola. We ate delicious plates like feta in the oven, fava, chicken and beef with olives. The wine list is perfect and the prices really low. If you go don't miss the Banoffee pie... More

We dropped in on our way back from the beach and wanted a beer and a snack and a lovely view and we got all three from our charming host. We ordered a Greek salad and four plates and it was freshly made and took the edge of our hunger! The view was across the bay to the other area... More

..if you want great coffee with great view! Do not miss the homemade desserts- we had the best chocolate pie ever! Will try the salads next time -they seemed very unique and promising! And the best of all: sea waves are at your feet literally!

Went there twice in four days stay at Katapola. Set right on the waters edge it is an idyllic location, directly across the harbour from the ferry area. Get there before the crowd and choose a water's edge table - the sea is literally beside your table (see photo).Madame was delightful - helpful, friendly and very solicitous of all the... More

This is a lovely little restaurant run by a French lady. The food is fairly traditional but with creative touches and a clear French influence. It is a lovely setting right on the water for a quiet relaxing dinner with good food.

Pleasant discovery in Katapola, the terrace is not so large but really close to the sea. Special dishes (greek specialties and starters or dishes of the day) are excellent, just avoid the standard pasta that have nothing special. The "banoffee" dessert is awesome. Waitress and manager are really nice, and make you fell very comfortable in their place. They offer... More

Once you have tasted those original and tasty dishes you come back. Small dishes (no traditional greek cuisine like souvlaki or bifteki) but very tastefull original dishes. And don't forget THE VIEW.

Greek tavernas are mostly very similar. But this one is different. Run by a charming Frenchwoman, karamel offers food that the hostess really cares about.
