We spend a excellent evening there. The owners are so nice and welcoming and the food is delicious. If you want good quality and quantity you should definitely go there. For the owner : we finally found the french name of the fruit used for your jam with cheese it is "mure articque" but we don't have it in france.

We stayed in Henningsvaer 2 nights and had dinner at Lofotmat both nights. The food is fantastic, it's so fresh and on both nights the chef came out to ask us how our meals were. We had the fish soup, the halibut and the oven baked cod - all were excellent! We had great service both nights - if you're... More

What a hidden gem! The food here is simple, but the taste is always on point. My partner and I came here first for lunch while we were passing through the town, we ordered the fish soup and the fried salmon with pasta. The fish soup is the best we've tasted in Norway and the pasta was delicious. On our... More

We stopped for lunch on our way to Nusfjord for the night. The experience was just amazing, the food so delicious, and the atmosphere just delightful, so relaxed and still all was professionally presented and neat. Hennigsvaer is a nice place to walk around, pretty houses along the peers. Worth visiting in every way.

Went there first time in March, and then in September while visiting Henningsvær. Best food I had in Norway, and I'm a native Norwegian. In March there is a season for cod (skrei) fishing in Lofoten, and Siv Hilde at Lofotmat served the best skrei I've had in years. (Sorry, mum!). Huge portion (traditional size) with mouth-watering freshly cooked fish,... More

We ate here twice and found the service and food to be very good. I had the bouillabaisse and my husband had the Stockfish and the Lamb.

Great food. Chef (owner) is apparently the only one in the kitchen, which is impressive considering the amount of dishes they served on what seemed like a busy night. Quality was high and dishes beautifully plated even when many people arrived at the same time, I'm guessing the owner really knows her stuff. Seemed to use local and in season... More

This was a great surprise - a modern gourmet restaurant in tiny Henningsvær! Serving local seafood in new and creative ways while offering more european land based treats as well - for those who have had enough stockfish in Lofoten. Tasty desserts tops it off together with a present and visible Chef and good service. My Coffee taste is more... More
