Had passed by this place many times and decided to try the buffet advertised. Was pleasantly surprised with the interior where the buffet was laid out but sat outside in the shade. Good selection of cold starters but only pork or paella with chips for main. Desserts were very tiny pots. That said, it was good for the reasonable price.

Positioned off a lay-by just to the south of Limoux. From the road it did not look much, but we were hungry so we stopped. The interior was much better than expected, but being warm were sat in the shade on a pleasant patio. We went for the 10 euro buffet. Starter : cold meats & salads. Main : pork... More

We were looking for somewhere to eat just as the heavens opened. We saw this place from the road and decided to give it a try. There was only one other couple in so we got a good table easily! We both had the set menu for 20 euros. The goats cheese salad was delicious flavoured with honey. We both... More

I have been to this Auberge several times and have never been disappointed. They have my favourite chicken Liver salad starter. The basic menu meal is very reasonably priced with a large range of choices. Wine comes with the menu meal and is more than drinkable. I like the unpretentious staff who are polite and friendly without being intrusive. I... More

The setting for this restaurant is off the main road and secluded. The value midday menu was a very reasonable 10 euro, but unfortunately the quality/service was poor -especially as many of the positive reviews had made us choose here. The steak and chips dish was ok. The chicken dish, however, despite looking cooked from the outside, was completely raw... More

We have passed by this hotel/restaurant many times, as the outside appearance is not particularly attractive. Inside it is cosy, rustic and welcoming. Popular with tradesmen, as well as locals. Well cooked food with prompt congenial service. Good choice of set menus.

We shared lunch at the Auberge again last Friday this time with two of our dearest friends. As always the service was charming and efficient and, with the beautiful weather, we were able to eat in the garden. A table in the shade is essential for us, and as usual, we were facilitated. We chose the menu and all of... More

Because of rent car problems, our travel agency made last minute arrangements for us to stay at this B&B/restaurant the night before Stage 14 of the Tour de France which began in the neighboring town of Limoux. We arrived late and hungry. The owner, Monique Heintz, kindly prepared a quick dinner for us. It was delicious as was the view... More
