We used to dine here 10 years ago on our previous visit to Crozon and remembered it as small and quirky, serving excellent meals using local produce where possible. The commitment to great ingredients is still there, but, nonetheless, our experience was disappointing. The restaurant has become cavernous, with a decor that has little to inspire - it is a... The location is set in a little town near the Atlantic coast between Brest and Quimper. Motivated by the good reviews and the Michelin report we chose this restaurant which is quite far from Brest, hoping to find something valuable for the distance we had to travel. The restaurant offers sea and land cuisine, with specialties from the region. We... More

Called in for a lunch and was warmly welcomed and was impressed by décor, and the general atmosphere, There was a good an interesting choice of menu and reflective of the best of French cuisine and local produce. The wine list was comprehensive and Madame obviously knew her wines and was able to give excellent advice and describe the background... More

A friend from Bordeaux suggested that we try this restaurant and the attached hotel. We drove from Normandy to Crozon and on the first night, we were quite tired and decided to eat at le Mutin Gourmand. The server (Laurent?) suggested dishes and wines to us. Each dish was perfectly prepared and fresh. The presentation and creativity was worthy of... More

It was one of those conversations, waiting for the TGV, a distraction from the cold platform with an icy wind slicing through the night. What was the best meal we ever had? After some pondering we both came up with the same answer; Le Mutin Gourmand in Crozon about two years ago. It seemed only sensible to return and see... More

Le Bistrot du Mutin : lunch on May 10th, excellent value for money with set menu (formule 19€). Lovely presentation for each dish, very good meal and friendly staff. Highly recommended on the road to the beaches of the presqu'ile de Crozon and Auray.

We each had a different menu but both thought the cooking was just fine, especially for a place so far away from anything else. I ordered steak, which I NEVER do in Europe and it was done as I requested (a point) and tasty enough and -yes, it was beef. My partner ordered hake and said it was cooked perfectly.... More

We had a wonderful dinner in this restaurant , crayfish gaspacho, artichoke with prawn and foie gras and the unbelievable blue lobster from brittany...georgous! Do not hesitate to ask the great team for advice, especially for the wine to match your course as they serve by the glass..remember to keep some space for dessert and the amazing cheese trolley!Enjoy your meal!

The first time we tried to eat at le Mutin Gourmand we were turned away as the restaurant was full - we booked a couple of days later, and could see why the place was full. The food was excellent, from the amuse bouches to begin through to the cafe gourmand. One relatively unusual feature of this restaurant is that... More
