I believe it the best gastronomic restaurant in the area, it is a bit pricey but worth the experience. Nice rustic deco, very welcoming staff, some speak English. Food is amazing: all seafood is very fresh and they use interesting ingredients, so if you looking for gastronomic experience, this is the place. Great choice of wines.

We were looking for a place that was open early (that is, before 7) on our drive back to Dinan from the coast. This place had good reviews, so we stopped. The roadside look on the outskirts of Matignon belies the more formal look on the inside, complete with starched white tablecloths and very nice glassware, but the woman who... More

So another visit to Brittany and a quest to find some new places to eat. And didn't we do well. With a quick scan through tripadvisor we found La Fermette. Lovely. A late lunch for France arriving just before 2pm we were a little worried they may not fit us in. No problem. We opted for the lunchtime Formule......at 17Euros... More

We have been regular guests to La Fermette for over 5 years & without exception we have enjoyed beautifully cooked & presented food, good wine & a first class service, thanks to friendly & helpful staff & extremely caring proprietors. We have dined at a number of restaurants in the region over a period of 9 years none of which... More

Our third visit was just as great as the first two. The food here is really tasty, Delicious fish, tender pink duck and vegetables with real flavour. The presentation on the plate is a work of art. My starter of raw finely diced salmon and lobster was dressed with a sprig of whitecurrants, micro herbs, melon ball and a nasturtian... More

While we were on a family holiday in the area the week after Easter we kept passing this restaurant and decided to give it a try on the Friday evening before we returned home. It's a lot bigger inside than it looks from the outside and as we were the only customers for most of the evening we had a... More

Having visited Erquy market on a Saturday morning we decided to eat at Cap Frehel. Many restaurants were closed and the ones that were open had attracted little trade. None were particularly inviting. We decided, as it was getting late that we would try Matignon. Due to diversions we missed it but pressed on towards St Malo beginning to panic... More

This is a family owned restaurant (the husband is the chef and the wife is the Matre'D/Head Waitress). A great combination when both are expert at their respective areas. The service is unquestionably perfect and the food quality is what you would expect from a restaurant in a large metropolitan area with much higher prices. We had oysters (me) and... More

This is a fairly sizeable restaurant on the side of a main road with flags flying out front in the French style. Whenever we drove past it always appeared closed but we walked up one evening from our campsite in Chateau de Galinee and were pleasantly surprised it was open. Inside the huge fireplace was lit and a warm smell... More
