Varied menu with locally sourced produce excellent choice of wine and a laid back atmosphere. The chef and his wife own and run the place and the service is always with a smile and helpful. This is without a doubt the best restaurant in Fitou

We ate here twice during our seven night stay in Fitou. It would be very easy to overdo the superlatives. La Cave d'Agnes is owned and run by a very friendly husband and wife team who offer a small number of dishes, either separately or as part of a set menu. The attention to detail was clear from the beginning... More

A small hole in the wall with only 5 tables served and a very short menu, surely a sign of a good place. But you must book! It would seem the chef goes to market, finds what is fresh and then limits the amount of tables he will serve in accordance to what he can serve. The Calamari is a... More

We found this restaurant on Trip Advisor when we couldn't find a place to picnic anywhere near the Chateau de Fitou--which has a touristy restaurant inside and no place (or any shade at all) to picnic. Desperate, we were able to get the last table at the Cave d'Agnes, and what a pleasant surprise! Loved the ambiance of being in... More

La Cave d'Agnes is one of the best discoveries in Longuedoc. The owner is passionate about cooking and this makes all the difference. Amazing food paired with a great local wine selection makes the restaurant a must go!

Had a really lovely meal here and would strongly recommend. Staff had level of attentiveness just right and answered all our questions perfectly, even though our French is very bad. Food had that great attention to detail that is the hallmark of a proper small restaurant here, and good quality slightly different ingredients. Wine list short but matches food and... More

We found this restaurant on trip advisor and were so glad we had. The setting was great and we all felt totally chilled after a beautiful day in and around Fitou. The menu was set, including a starter, main and desert. It only had a choice of four or five dishes for each but all the choices sounded very appealing!... More

Set inside an old barn conversion the building is covered in ivy. Friendly staff can speak a little English but there are only ever three or four things on the menu to choose form so not a problem. Poached squid starter was melt-in-the-mouth and rump steak perfectly cooked. Aperitif of peach juice, fizz and cinnamon was a great recommendation by... More

A very warm welcome with delicious food is on offer here. An interesting choice of menu and my introduction to a 'brick'. This is slow cooked meat wrapped in filo pastry and fried - extremely good.
