Civico 15 in Canelli is a true gem located in the heart of the Langhe. The location is lovely, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding hills which enrich the dining experience. The restaurant is family-run, and this is reflected in the warm welcome and kindness of the staff. Each team member is attentive and thoughtful, creating a pleasant and relaxing atmosphere. The menu is a riot of flavours. I started with an egg appetizer with asparagus, a perfect combination of delicacy and taste. As my main dish, I chose the octopus, which was cooked to perfection: tender and tasty, a real delight for the palate. The wine cellar is endless and offers an extraordinary selection, perfect for any culinary pairing. Furthermore, the cellar can be visited, an unmissable opportunity for wine lovers to explore such a vast and valuable collection. In summary, Civico 15 is an excellent culinary experience that combines the beauty of the Langhe, the friendliness of a family business and cuisine of the highest level. Highly recommended!

A taste experience... a welcome dish that already hinted at the quality of the dinner. "Egg 63" appetizer, an explosion of aromas and flavors on the palate, the classic dish that you wish would never end...my husband took a spaghetti, I took the cheek, what can I say? A butter... softness, strong but not intrusive taste, wonderful! For dessert, the tart with pineapple and lime cream, a dip in the Caribbean...lightness, fresh goodness...to finish with coffee and small pastries worthy of the best pastry shop...all homemade, delicious bread and focaccia.. .last but not least the attention and pampering in bringing me a chair to place my white bag that I had placed on the floor. Kindness and location are the icing on a cake that already scores 10/10

Opened in 2017 in via Villanuova at number 15, in this location since 1 July 2020. Winner, in 2021, of an episode of the television program "4 Ristoranti". Convenient parking in the square. In front the dehors is closed but in the summer it is opened with 16 seats, 30 in the room, once the stable of the Gancia castle. Chef Enrico, Executive Chef Manuela Scavino who we find in the room together with her new husband Massimiliano "Max" D'Assaro, an architect by profession. Music in the background; the lunch: Wine: - Alta Langa DOCG Classic Method Brut "Oudeis" az. Enrico Serafino. White bread; whole grain bread; onion bread and focaccia all maison. Entrée: - cannolino with cream and anchovies; Russian salad; savory panna cotta, tomato gel and robiola cream. Appetizers: - cod roll, raisins, pine nuts, pecorino foam. - the tuna of discord (rabbit tuna with moscato giardiniera). First: - the spaghetti that enriches you (spaghetto, n'duja, tomato, stracciatella, onion, moddica atturrata). - risotto, robiola, red mullet, fermented black garlic. Coffee and meliga biscuits with custard to finish. The wine list features 140 labels, a good choice by the glass. Four tasting menus from €55 to €70; à la carte, you choose from the menus, 5 starters from €16 to €25; 4 first courses from 18 to 22€; 4 seconds from 25 to 27€; 4 desserts from €9 to €10, "selection of artisanal cheeses with Piedmontese jam" for €20; everything can be consulted on the website, today there is also the five-course Alba white truffle menu for €120. At the end of lunch our compliments. Review in the previous location: 15 April 2019 "wineandfood and restaurant"

Very disappointing - the food was prepared with care but the recipes are without any contrast or original idea. We bought expensive wine and after the first bottle we changed the wine and they did not change the glasses. Concluding: what do you say about an Italian restaurant which serves coffee out of capsules ...

Out of curiosity, given the victory at the 4-restaurant program we tried to dine at number 15. I honestly don't understand the reviews I've read. Great food, honest / fair prices. in 4 we took 3 tastings and a first for my 11-year-old son. My son usually feels full with a plate of pasta. When he received the dumplings filled with pesto with mussels, seeing that there were 5 on the plate he looked at us thinking it was a joke. As for the tastings, what about. Apart from the fact that the dishes were served more than 20 minutes if not more between them, they didn't even repay the wait. Veal tuna, dry and instead of tuna sauce, there was a kind of pâté, and as a quantity, not even a teaspoon. peppers with green sauce and bagna cauda, of which bagna cauda, there was only the written memory of the menu. let's move on to the plinths. definitely too far ahead of cooking and tasteless. Among other things we had to ask ourselves if it was possible to have some grated cheese to give it some flavor. rabbit, probably anorexic judging by the meat that you could barely eat. the gem was the side dish. A slice, and I repeat a slice of potato number. A measly piece of potato in each of the three dishes. So don't even wear it. The dessert... no comment. a tiramisu that tasted of everything but tiramisu. As is customary for 4 restaurants, now I give my Rating. to the location I gave 7 because.... elegant yes but a little discordant decor. Tables and chairs different from each other, a little wood, a little iron and a little plastic. at the service I gave 6 because the eternal wait belongs, we were given a second bottle of water without asking if we actually wanted it and consequently counted in the bill I repeat without having requested it. At the menu I gave 4 because we found nothing to our liking and no particular quality. To the bill I gave 2 because with what little we ate, 239 euros for 3 tastings, a bottle of Nebbiolo 25 euros (the cheapest one) a bottle of water (plus one not required) a plate with 5 dumplings 18 euros and a dessert 10 euros for the child who after 5 dumplings was still hungry seems excessive.

Walking up to Civico15 was only because everyone else was busy further down in town - walking the trip was nice as Civico15 is located high up in town. Cozy restaurant, the wine was really good and value for money - good service, but the food was all too expensive in terms of the value of taste and quantity (especially my own right rabbit - there was almost no accessory other than a baked half red pepper and a little olive) - I have never paid so much for so little, sorry. We won't get there again - I can be said to find places with more value in the food - maybe it could be a place for a couple who didn't know what to spend the money on.

Fantastic food a perfect combination of traditional Piedmontese recepies with a nouvelle cusine twist. Wine list is superb and affordsble , given we are in the Heart of Italian Reds home land. Small can seat only 6 max table had only 30 seats, you absolutely need to book at least one week ahead, specially for the Sunday lunch . Well worth the hussle, has free parking in front . Don't try to walk up from Canelli.

We recently went to this restaurant with friends because they had participated in Alessandro Borghese's show. ..... and what's more he won!!! We were truly shocked. The first courses were really disappointing, the second course was very salty fish....a steamed vegetable saved me...luckily discounted!!!. and not having dared to order anything else even though we were still hungry we stuffed ourselves with bread which was the only passable thing even though the 4 times we asked for bread didn't justify the very high price. Surely a good pizza on a Saturday evening would have satisfied us from all points of view!!!

Very clean place with attention to detail. Friendly and welcoming staff. There is a good choice of wines that can also be consumed by the glass. We ordered some fish and meat dishes and finally desserts. The guinea fowl meatballs and desserts are delicious. The first courses were poorly presented and below expectations (especially the fusillone al caciucco which looked and tasted like a simple pasta with tomato puree with the addition of a little fish. The veal cut is tasty but fatty and tough in various places. The desserts were very good and well presented. Overall, an average restaurant with an offering of dishes at prices that are decidedly out of the market for the area.

I start by saying that I ate a sublime tagliolino with porcini mushrooms and everything ordered by my friends was very appreciated. Spending commensurate with the high quality of the raw material. Delicious place inside, well-kept, modern, not trivial. I didn’t particularly like the outdoors, too minimal compared to the interior and in contrast to the architecture of the square. The only unpleasant note: amuse-bouche was served and I asked what the sauce that covered it consisted of specifying that I am pregnant and cannot eat certain cheeses and raw eggs, and apologizing for not having warned in advance. Response: “here we do everything, everything is pasteurized, however my pregnant wife ate everything!”. It followed giggles. I found this Response unprofessional. Tip: A top restaurant needs to know what are the dietary restrictions that apply to certain pregnancies, which also constitute a strict medical indication and not a “pretty” of the pregnant woman.

This beautiful restaurant with a wine cellar and shop visible from the restaurant is located in Canelli. The restaurant is attractively decorated. The menu is excellent and provides delicious dishes with a modern touch. Service is friendly and speaks limited English. We ate delicious green asparagus with a soft egg. Then a fish soup. The soup was a bed of melted mozzarella topped with various fish and seafood (creamy from the cheese and salty from the fish). For dessert a Sicilian Canelli. Plus an excellent wine (Italian Riesling). Top! Price level is slightly above average in Piedmont, but nevertheless it is more than worth it.

We decided with friends to make a small detour before returning to Florence. We were all enthusiastic about the lunch, high quality of food, strong flavors that remain imprinted and leave you with the desire to return. High level service, attentive to the needs of the diner. Menu that ranges from the Piedmontese tradition to the Sicilian origins of the owners, I would return just for the spaghetti that enriches you and for the agnolotto del piln which are truly unique. Enchanting location in the village on the hills of Canelli, we will certainly return to visit the underground cathedrals. Thanks for the dining experience.

We have been quests at Civico15 ever since they opened and they have always been very good. This evening, however, they managed to surprice us again. Perfect flan di verdure con salsa di castelmagno. Tagliolini con salsiccia di Bra and Pasta Norma, great sicilian dessert and amazing amaro della casa. What else can you hope for? Grazie mille!

Food was nice , but not exceptional. The owner does not speak English and doesn’t give a welcoming feel. The selection of the food wasn’t with enough options to those who don’t eat fish. So overall the experience was good but not great!!
