We chose the menu offered at 38 euros excluding drinks which included a mix of starters: veal with tuna sauce excellent for meat and sauce, Russian salad ok, the meat platter perfect and also the hot vegetable pie. Both the taiarin and the plin are delicious (plin with very thin dough, the filling is very good). The courgette pie with cheese was excellent, as was the pork cheek (very tender meat could be cut with a fork). Nothing to say about the bunet (one of our favorite desserts). Great choice on the wine list, wanting bubbles because the climate is very hot, on the waiter's advice we chose "vizio di famiglia" sparkling wine at 12 euros per bottle. A place to recommend and to return.

In northern Italy it is difficult to sit down for lunch at 2pm, but here you can! The room? It feels like entering the work of a contemporary artist with the imagination of a happy child: reassuring. The waiter (or manager)? serene like the frescoes on the walls and vaulted ceiling, he recommended an excellent Nebbiolo, fragrant and velvety, without being too expensive and he served us quickly. The food? An exquisite robiola, plin with two different sauces both delicious, two very tasty cheeks with different combinations and two excellent desserts. Including coffee 103 euros for two. Highly recommended! But…! The large environment without curtains and the vaulted ceiling make me imagine that on a Saturday evening, with all the tables occupied, there will be a noise similar to the take-off runway of an aircraft carrier in war operations. If you want to chat with your guests without breaking your throat and the gables, better a table in the internal courtyard, outdoors. I count? 1 starter, 2 first courses, 2 second courses, 2 desserts, 1 Nebbiolo, water and coffee = 103 euros! Optimal..

The menu had a mix of traditional and dishes that I have never seen on the menu in the Piemonte restaurant but it was delicious and imaginative. The wine choice by glass was very good too. We could try the region’s good wines by the glass with each dish. And of course I need to mention the ambiance. High ceilings, wall art great service make the dining experience truly amazing.

A pleasant discovery: having arrived by chance following directions read in a guide, we find ourselves in an imaginative, youthful, cheerful and modern place with colorful walls. A friendly and professional welcome and kind and friendly service make the customer feel pampered. Local cuisine: raw meat, vegetable pie, veal with tuna sauce are some of the delicious appetizers. Tajarin and ravioli del plin are the main proposals on the menu, rabbit, braised cheek and wild boar are the main second courses. I have to make a special mention for the ravioli with Roccaverano cream and red wine reduction: they will remain in the memory for a long time! The wine list is territorial and relies on the regional wine shop: broad and complete without any portfolio-breaking options. The final bunet is excellent as is the hazelnut cake with zabaglione or the classic panna cotta. Price not trivial but adequate. Overall a marvel of satisfaction.

Opened on 13 August 2018. Palazzo Giuliani, in the courtyard the dehors with 50 seats usable in the summer. Once through the entrance, the room with 8 seats is on the left, 45 in the "Chapel of the Wonderful" room on the right. Frescoed by the artist Antonio Catalano, author of the book where the poet Nuno marvels at the clouds blown by the wind. In the cellar, in succession, two more intimate rooms, with 14 and 10 seats respectively. Federica, Sara and Marco took turns at our table. Music in the background, at least until the room filled up; the lunch:
Wine:
- Classic Brut Mille Giorni Ispiro az method. Bosca.
Artisanal bread and breadsticks.
Appetizers:
- smoked tuna tataki, passion fruit mayonnaise, guacamole sauce, flavored yogurt and soy caviar.
- soft egg with potato cream, thyme and sautéed mushrooms and crispy bacon.
Seconds:
- stewed cod (tomato, capers, oil, parsley).
- cheeses with double jams (12 pieces).
Coffee to close.
QR Code for wine. Tasting menu at €38; à la carte 5 pans and... from 4 to 6€; 9 starters from 7 to 15€; 6 first courses from 10 to 14€; 5 second courses from €9 to €17, "cheeses with jams 6 and 12 pieces" from €10 to €15; on the board 5 desserts from 5 to 7€; apart from the desserts, everything can be consulted on the Facebook page. Elena Romano and Fabio Fasso also manage "La Signora in Rosso Osteria e Vineria" in Nizza Monferrato, opened on 3 July 2020 (our review 23 February 2021 "tradition, reinterpretations and wine in the cellars of Palazzo Crova") and "Abissi Cucinadimare" opened on 30 April 2022 (our review 26 November 2022 "fish-only cuisine and kindness in maritime environments"). At the end of lunch our compliments.

I love this place and the atmosphere it can give, intimate and genuine. The menu changes often and always offers interesting dishes, with the right portions and at the right price, which is not bad.
The service was impeccable as was the choice of wines. I've been here to celebrate two of my birthdays, I won't miss the third too!

In the heart of Canelli, a restaurant with an informal but elegant atmosphere. The menu offers typical local dishes, but reinterpreted and presented with care for a gourmet, refined and tasty result. Also excellent selection of wines masterfully presented by Marco, the "host" of the place, a concentrate of sympathy and great expertise.
A must try 💖

We had lunch in the internal courtyard in front of the restaurant with the organized group of the historic train coming from Turin. Fixed menu for everyone with 4 appetizers (veal with tuna sauce, asparagus flan, Fassona tartare, Russian salad), a first course with butter and sage, a second course with stewed cheek with pumpkin puree, and finally the bunet. Water and red/white wine and the fantastic Moscato of the area. Coffee was also included but the machine broke 😅. Really excellent food, kindness of the staff, exquisite company from all over Italy and finally a bit of sun after so much rain made the day truly special.

Extraordinary location, great food with reasonable prices and good service, what more do you want? During summer the tables are outside in an enclosed area far away from traffic and noise. The food was great, from starters to main courses, and even the bunet dessert were far better than average

Very nice place removed from the road, large shaded terrace and beautiful interior room decorated with originality. Very welcome, we took vitello tonato and crudo di gamberi well prepared properly. Not to be missed if you go around.

Very kind and helpful waiters, balanced dishes, good flavors and raw materials.
Very beautiful location, the outdoor garden is suggestive.
I would focus a little more on the typically Piedmontese dishes given where it is located, less on the fish, even if everything is well cooked. I would happily return.

We had booked (suggested by various reviews here and there) to make sure we found place. We had lunch on the terrace with a fantastic breezy climate. TOP hospitality and a lot of professionalism, courtesy and above all QUALITY. Spectacular anchovies and bath (green sauce), as well as mixed appetizer, tajarin and duck breast. Wine: a Barbera suggested by the maitre d' wholly apt to our tastes. BRAVI, we will definitely return.

Really fantastic restaurant in the center of Canelli; very friendly and professional staff, superlative food. Amazing appetizers, I had vegetable pie with parmesan sauce and then tagliatelle with cheese, pepper and hazelnuts. Those who ate the meat said it melted in their mouth. Really honest price

A small jewel among the vineyards as far as the eye can see in the hills of Asti. Entering this place is a bit like following Alice’s White Rabbit to find yourself suddenly surrounded by a fantastic and surprising setting, which leaves the visitor literally speechless. The rooms of this tavern are a marvel; here everything is perfect, from the atmosphere to the kitchen. The staff is friendly, discreet and professional. The dishes are well presented, right in portions, delicious. I was in this place for lunch on 14/08/2024 with my family and I had lunch inside. I took an excellent veal tonnato, as well as the tagliolini cacio, pepper and hazelnut grains, delicate and tasty, accompanied by a superior Barbera DOCG. Finally a delicious hazelnut cake with cream ice cream. All exquisite, at a very honest price. If you are in the area, it is a must-try experience.
