Definitely a hidden treasure, but not for long! This lovely restaurant in Canelli is foodies dream. Each colorful dish was filled with flavor and perfectly designed, like a painting.
We enjoyed beet risotto with Parmesan, pumpkin risotto, and pasta with tartufo or truffles - so delicious. The wine selection was superb and had a great collection of regional favorites like Barberas and Nebbiolos pairing with the food exquisitely.
I’m so glad Google recommended me to the Osteria. I was able to make reservations quickly online, I think we did catch them right before their pause but they were gracious and not inconvenienced in any way, at least we didn’t know if they were. Service was superb and attentive.
This restaurant is cozy and clean with proper seating for COVID restrictions too. We showed our green passes and vaccination cards and we were all set.
Definitely will be returning on my next visit to Piemonte.

We found this tavern through a sponsored on FB. Let me say something important right away: the food is good quality. Nothing to object to. There have been a couple of problems, however, which mean that the assessment is less than it could have been. We visited the Osteria by off chance we where walking by and we came across it. It’s a small quiet place. The server was the sweetest gentleman in Canelli. He tried his best to speak to us in english and helped us with the menu and wine list. Food was devine and the wine excellent. Moreover. The bill amounted to €80, after water, wine, one starter, two first plates, two main courses and two deserts! Would want to return.

Visited when Enoteca di Canelli had lost our reservation and was surprised in a positive way. The food was very good and also surprisingly innovative considering the traditional feel of the restaurant. Nice wine list and service.
