We spent a week in Luganville and ate twice at 1606. Both times meals were the best we've had in Luganville. You will pay a little more than elsewhere but it is worth the extra in my opinion.

We had the Island Greek Salad and the Santo Burger. The food lived up to the reputation of the restaurant! It was very well presented and tasted even better. Would recommend the Tusker and Lime (actually lemon) beer! The restaurant is out of the hussle and bustle of the city so it's nice and quiet. Top notch 👌

Dined here one night with friends - food was quite overpriced. I ordered the homemade pasta with smoked salmon and the pasta was a bit too salty so I could not finish it.

We had a tapas feast with lobster, Italian Sausage, twice cooked duck and santo beef croquet's. The waitstaff were friendly and very accommodating and it was very quiet with only one other diner present.

Being on a cruise to Noumea, Mystery Island, Port Vila and hanging out for Lobster the whole cruise but just missing out all the time. We arrived at Santo and recommendations lead us to Restaurant 1606, so we booked in for dinner. Wow, we had Lobster for dinner. Cooked to absolute perfection. After a long journey looking for a great ambience and excellent food, 1606 delivered. Service is good in a quaint setting. Unexpectedly (for Vanuatu) my steak was a little rubbery, put that down to bad luck but my wife's fish excellent. Good solid menu, freezing cold Tusker lemon. Well recommended

This is one of the better places to eat on the island. Our group of five all had different meals and everyone enjoyed their meals. Surprisingly even though it seems to be on the waterfront just out the other side of town there is no water view.
