Still one of our favourite places to eat out. This Restaurant has an extensive menu and they all sound so appetising. We have found a few favourites which keep pulling us back there. The wine list is not extensive but sufficient and very affordable. From Friday evenings through to Sundays they are sometimes full, so be sure to book in... More

Well, where does one start with what can only be described as schockingly horrible service? * Not enough Menus to go around * Not just once, but all courses arrived at various intervals, never at the same time. Time difference between the starters arriving was 40+ minutes, and the delay was only 40-odd minutes because I complained about not receiving... More

We have visited this restaurant on many occasions and have found the food to be authentic and of a high standard. The crispy beef is to die for. Our visit today, however, was most disappointing in that the service was atrocious. The food arrived haphazardly, no serviettes were provided and then, to top it all, when the meal was done... More

Awesome dinner. Crispy beef dish out of this world. Bags of flavour in the sauce. Worth the while . go for a slow menu style dinner. And enjoy. We did. Thanks it was great.

I love Chinese food but this was my first visit to this restaurant. One of the attractions was that there were quite a few Chinese groups eating there, which to me is a good sign. Whilst the manager / waitress were polite, I would not say it was that welcoming. We were quickly settled on to a table and served... More

Popped in to Lai Lai after an early show at Pieter Toerien theatre. Staff were friendly and helpful; service was quick, although the dishes didn't come out at the same time, my husband's food came out about 5-7 minutes after the first dishes (this appears the norm as the previous time we ate here the same happened). Food was piping... More

A most disappointing experience. Food was poorly prepared and the prawn dish very over priced. Prawn spring rolls too large and consisted mainly of vegetables with an undersized prawn. The only dish worthy of mention was the crispy beef.

This is my second attempt at this restaurant as I really like Chinese food. Unfortunately the experience was almost as disappointing as the first time. As least the service was good as our waiter a young man called Jeff who is from China was very entertaining as well as interesting to talk to. The food was better than I remembered... More

We went there after an early theater show. Had to wait 15 minutes for a table, which was expected at 8pm. Ordered a bottle of wine, and the waiter put the wine on the table and left (without opening the wine) - screw top bottle, - we managed. We ordered the food -Soup to start and Duck for my wife... We arrived and sat down, the waitress gave us the menu and left, after a minute she came back if we were ready to order, l said we haven't look at the menu yet. She said the chef had to has his lunch. We said if it wont take more than 30minutes it would be fine. So after 10minutes we... More
