We had come up to Villa Royale on 2 occasions after spending the day on the beach below. We were made very welcome despite looking quite a sandy mess. 2 for 1 operates between 6-7pm and where better than to enjoy a properly made G&T served with Canapés. There was live music to add to the atmosphere and the most stunning views of the rocks below and sandy bay.
Having checked the Trip Advisor reviews for the restaurant beforehand which are mixed I was a little apprehensive but we had a wonderful time. We were made very welcome on arrival and shown to a table overlooking the bay. It would be ridiculous to suggest that this is a “cheap” night out but in my opinion it was very reasonable given comparative costs at home. We shared a mixed appetiser Board which was plenty for 2 people and this was in addition to the delicious complimentary appetiser. My seared Tuna was perfectly cooked served on a bed of stir fried vegetables and black pepper sauce and a separate serving of rice. It was a very generous portion. My husband usually avoids Whole Seabass because of the bones but the fish was deboned and served whole before arriving and he couldn’t find one rogue bone! We finished the meal with a beautifully presented Panna Cotta. The wine list is extensive and very impressive but expensive. We found this to be the case in most of the restaurants we ate in. Our waiter was friendly, professional and just great fun, the staff really do excel here. Given the quality of the food we enjoyed, the delightful staff and the amazing setting this has to be my most memorable meal in Thailand.

We booked here to celebrate a reunion of friends and were impressed with the service, location and food here. Upon arrival, staff were very attentive and made sure we had a cocktail to watch the sunset. After being seated, we were recommended dishes from the menu. Albeit a bit pricey for Thailand, the food was good and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal. We tried the grouper soup, crab souffle, seared tuna, crab curry and the seafood pasta. The real winner was definitely the pasta and the curry, both with deep and flavorful sauces which were delicious. Try Mom Tri's for an exclusive location, beautiful views and great food!

Reservations are required for a sunset view table for dinner. This place is not cheap but you will not be disappointed. Faultless attentive service, wonderful present meals that tasted amazing, coupled with the setting make this a place for a special occasion.

The views were nice but the customer service was very poor as was the quality of the food for the price paid .
It took 45 minutes to get a drink brought to the table and then we had to ask the waiter . We was also asked to leave the restaurant at a certain time giving us approx 2 hours. We had not even eaten our main meal at this point.
Overall a had much better service in the restaurants on the beach front and much better customer service.
Disastifed customers and wouldnt reccomend it.

The Thai-inspired food is very good, very well presented, with a very friendly staff. In addition the location with sea view over Kata Noi beach is very nice. So definitely a place to go for fine dining in Phuket

I rated this four because it is above average with some stuff like the ravioli outstanding. The beef cheek had nice texture but lacking the proper flavor. The sea bass pretty good, the steaks ok, mind you overpriced for what you get in taste and plating. The Siam tapas were good the lobster bisque decent. You go here mainly for the view and you get the occasional pretty good dish as well.
Certainly was expecting more. They need to up their game before I return. Service is pretty good as well.

Crab cakes - taste ok but texture and appearance lacking
Lobster soufflé - not an elegant dish. But was ok.
Duck mango was over cooked and unseasoned
The veal - tasted ok, but on a par with a red curry at much cheaper places.
Service was very slow, and we had difficultly to communicate.
Maybe this menu was good once but whomever is cooking it now has no idea.

We stayed at the Mom Tri's Villa Royale Hotel for 8 nights late Jan-Feb 2023. We ate here a few times . The food is excellent and the location and views up high overlooking the magnificent Kata Noi beach, one of the best in Phuket, is stunning. It is expensive, true, and sometimes the service was slow unfortunately but overall I can highly recommend it. Try booking a table alone the outer edge with best sea views but book in advance as it is popular.

Me and my girlfriend wanted to have a seaside romantic dinner in Phuket. We found this restaurant and it was the best dining experience we had in Phuket. The menu is very interesting, innovative and tasty. You are dinning outdoor and you feel close contact with the nature, you privacy is well preserved. The Seabass is extremely tasty and desert are very light and innovative.
The service is good except that they always asked if we have finished with th le dishes. Worth to try it in Phuket.

We had dinner as a family and it was absolutely fantastic. The restaurant is beautiful and we were sitting on the terrace overlooking the rocks and beach, almost like sitting in a large treehouse. The food was absolutely delicious, truly exceptional Thai food. The service was fantastic too and all the ladies were given a rose, lovely touch. We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel, The Nai Harn. So glad they did!! Go, you will not be disappointed.

Stay away from here at all costs. We came here because we read the amazing reviews. Let me explain from start to finish. No host. Nobody speaks English. We finally sat down after looking for someone nearly into the kitchen. Waiter gave my husband a wet menu and took it away. We had to ask for another one. After 20 minutes he came to take our order. I tried to order and he ran away for another 10 minutes. Finally brought our food. Appetizer was basic shrimp with raw garlic as garnish. Who eats raw garlic on food????? Main course was messed up. None of the food was good. Simply mediocre. Service was terrible. Better off eating street food. Definitely would never recommend it here. Terrible through and through. And then waited for the bill for another fifteen minutes. I should have left without paying. It was that terrible and the worst is that I am still very hungry

Thank you for sharing your experience and thoughts through TripAdvisor. We apologise for the missing host whom is supposed to be stationed there every night, but perhaps your were here during lunch when the service style is more relaxed to match the guest's attire.
We are very sorry though that you did not enjoy our Thai cuisine. Dishes here use a lot of garlic, this includes garnishes from garlic (which is actually to accompany the hero of the dish)

We were planning for diner on Saturday but thought we go earlier for lunch and walked to the restaurant. Have to say the view is great but that is only a part of a star rating. The wine list is excellent but as always totally over priced. The duck spring rolls was more a piece of duck without any taste. The tuna salad was full of lemongrass and garlic. So all in all not what we expected. We had much better during our Thailand trip honestly.

Having been in holiday in Thailand for 10days at the time of visiting this restaurant ,we had loved all the street food, but decided to dine in a “proper” restaurant.
Menu was good, service attentive, views amazing, don’t need to say anything else. If you get a chance visit

Great views of the beach, very close combined with colonial architecture make for a fine backdrop. The food is not bad but also nothing particularly remarkable. The tables themselves and the main dining room is quite faded. One diner's dish came out after everyone else was finished, and it was hard to catch the eye of the server. Seems like this was once a classic location but not convinced worth the fairly hefty price tag.

Mediocre place. The food is expensive and not particularly tasty; in the eatery near the Katathani hotel the food is no worse, but the price tag is several times cheaper. The waiters generally pretend that they work in France in a Michelin-starred restaurant, in fact it’s an ordinary eatery, we didn’t find anything special here except the view. I don’t recommend it even just for once. It’s better to go to the after beach bar and restaurant.
If the view is important, it's not far from here.
