Must say I am surprised to read the mixed reviews on here. Went for lunch during a country walk and it is a lovely welcoming pub with log fire and cheery staff. Had a mini 2in1 pie - excellent and fish finger sandwich with brilliant chips. It's not refined in any way but doesn't pretend to be. Lovely pitstop and... More

Popped in on a Tuesday evening, atmosphere was nice, very cosy and welcoming and it was quite busy. The food didnt really live up to expectations. My mini 2in1 chicken, ham and leek was nice, although advertised as cream and tarragon sauce and was actually cream with wholegrain mustard (luckily i like both), pastry a little undercooked but only just... Hi - I can say nothing but sorry that your trip to the Weighbridge was disappointing. We pride ourselves on our attentive service and, of course, our pies. Whilst we did have staffing issues that day, it is no excuse. Please could you call the pub (01453 832520) and ask for Mary or Karl or email us via the website.... More

We visited the Weighbridge, near Avening, Glos. as we had heard good reports. The Pub is Free House, with a good size car park on the main road. A very typical old, quirky country pub. A series of small rooms mainly laid for dining. Log fire blazing, it was a very inviting environment. Famous for their 2 in 1 pies,... More

Thank you for your feedback, particuarly on the Homity pie. We had actually just changed the presentation following feedback from our regular vegetarian customers that it would be great to have our 2in1 pastry on the top as a "lid". Clearly this didn't work for you and we have reverted back to the Cranks classic pastry case. We do pride... More

Came here with a friend, have been many times before over past 30 years. Have to say the steak and mushroom 2 in 1 pies were disappointing, the steak was not the same quality as before and the cauliflower cheese was like mush. Maybe it was an off day but it was just not the same. Even the pastry is... More

Sorry to learn from your feedback that you did not enjoy your recent meal at the Weighbridge. You will see from the other reviews that our 2in1 pies are still well loved and enjoyed. We assure you that we haven't changed the recipe of our signature crumbly pastry that has been used for almost 40 years. We have changed our... More

Sunday lunchtime in Tetbury everywhere full so remember the weighbridge inn which is about ten minutes away on the Nailsworth valley road . Rang ahead table available. I remember this place from 4 years ago ish . We went a few times and were always happy with the food . The pies were legendary back then . Unbeknown to me... More

We are so pleased you enjoyed your Sunday lunch at the Weighbridge. Our turkey and trimmings 2in1 is a local speciality! We think a sticky toffee pud is the perfect antidote to a grey, damp November day and we hope you will come and visit us again soon More

My wife and I decided to have a special double pie each. Very nice and filling, however not cheap at £15 each!! Rest of pub nothing special.

We had a Sunday Roast yesterday and it was fabulous. We were asked how we liked our beef and it was cooked to perfection. We normally go for the 2-1, so this was a change and it didn't disappoint. It doesn't matter where we eat, we always return to the Weighbridge, our favourite pub.

Thank you so much for your positive feedback. Whilst we are known for our pies, our Sunday roasts are very popular. Hope you will call by again soon More

We have visited here many times before, but after I recommended to a friend and she said she thought that the mini pie was expensive £12.20 for just a fairly small round pie, half of this is filled with vegetables but there is nothing else on the plate. It made me think especially as I had the homity pie which... More
