My partner and I decided to visit the Churchill Arms after reading the reviews on trip advisor. We were a little late in booking something but we managed to get in on Saturday night after calling them at 2pm. Upon arrival, when you open the...More

We visit the Churchill regularly as we live locally. We often take friends and family because it is always good. I love the calves liver especially as it is not a meal you can get in many places. The pies are always also very good....More

Great welcome here with brilliant service. Food was OK but I was somewhat suspicious how fast my fish and chips came out! The fish batter wasn’t great and tasted pre-made frozen reheated. It just didn’t have that fresh out of the fryer look or taste!...More

Very lucky to have found this pub as we live fairly locally. Exceptional service right from the booking to the delivery of the meal. Superb local produce prepared and served beautifully. Each course was absolutely fabulous and could not recommend it highly enough!

We stayed in Blockley for a week during August & boy was it good to find a pub that served an Aperol Sprits! We booked in here for Sunday lunch, and as we’d walked from the next village we was ready to be looked after...More

Four of us had an excellent lunch. Everything was delicious, from celeriac and apple soup, to smoked haddock souffle, etc. We had two starters instead of starter + main, and enjoyed everything. The service was absolutely charming and efficient. Add to that it's lovely rural...More

Went for Sunday lunch following a recommendation. We were not disappointed. The atmosphere in the pub was great: lots of families chatting over lunch, the staff busying themselves with orders and service. From the short menu, we chose the terrine and the smoked haddock soufflé....More

Just visited this last Sunday. We all saw the menu claiming 'rare roast beef'. How many restaurants and pubs are a bitter disappointment when it comes to Sunday lunch as the beef is over cooked, thick sliced and tasteless. That was not the case on...More

A warm and welcoming village inn with a woodburner in the dining room. Clearly very popular with the locals. The chef clearly has a passion for fine cuisine and our selection from the menu was a real melt in the mouth experience. The young waiting...More

My wife and I visited for lunch during our weeks stay in the Cotswolds. After choosing from the three menus I opted for the crab risotto although I failed to detect any crab in the dish! Next up was dessert of which I chose the...More

The Churchill Arms, Paxford is a boutique pub nestled away in north of The Cotswolds. With its historical local character at our core we pride ourselves on thought about classics. With two characterful but modern, luxurious, en-suite bedrooms we're located just outside Chipping Camden. Less than a 2 hour journey by train or car from London we're in the perfect spot to explore this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Our cosy bar, stocked with beers and local ales and ridiculously tasty bar snacks is just a good a place to while away an afternoon.
