An incredible experience, glad to have been a number of times. The food was quite good - not blow-your-mind, but solid and satisfying. Mostly, it was Maurice, and the rest of the staff, who made it such a memorable experience. My wife and I had the pleasure of once upon a time being the only diners of a cold autumn... More

One leaves the hustle and bustle of the world behind ascends up into the Luberon to find this lovely little restaurant that has the feeling of home (including some of the clutter that adorns most homes) but with more pictures of horses than any home I've ever visited. The complete menu starts with a generous tray of Provençal appetizers (see... More

We arrived late ,30 minutes to be exact as we had gotten lost. On arrival we were told it was too late to be served for Sunday lunch, we " begged in our best French ". We were told we could have the " plat chaud", it was divine and the owner Maurice ,also the chef was lovely, He showed... More

We had been to L'Auberge several times previously and were seriously disappointed this time. On a Tuesday evening at the end of July (the hight of the season)we were the only customers for dinner, that in itself was telling. The restaurant has always been associated with horses and the owner Monsieur Maurice has a large collection of carriages, but they... More

Prices are reasonable, service is good. The food is not the best but compensated by a very friendly and attentive staff. The plateau of local dishes to share it on your own is disappointing.

Great small restaurants, lost in a middle of hills above Apt: great place for a lunch or dinner after hiking on surrounding trails. The food is traditional and rather simple but copious - if you are not too hungry, the best option is large plateau of starters, with 15-20 small tapas-style dishes, followed by local goat cheese. The wine list... More

A welcoming place especially since we arrived at 13:35 and entrance is normally till 13:30. The plat du jour was quail with exclusive white cherries, ratatouille and deliciously baked potatoes. And when the main course is so good and service so friendly t's difficult to resist the chef's dessert plate : vanilla cream, apricot crumble, chocolate massepain, ice & strawberries... More

We went here on a recommendation and it was well worth it! The drive to the restaurant is scenic and the lunch leisurely and delicious. The hors d'oevres are a mixed plate of local produce and well worth trying.

We went hiking in Buoux at the old fort - then down for lunch (reserved!) Lovely outdoor terrace. The choices this day were duck brochette with apricot sauce and a collection of small plates that were extremely yummy. Great bread and wine. Go inside and look at their bread cutting guillotine! A leisurely lunch...

Wonderful food, service, ambiance Ask the owner to show you the horse drawn carriage collection. One of the best small collection of American carriages Don't miss this place... Make a reservation

Worth a trip to this tiny hamlet for the Provencal dinner at this superb restaurant--reputed to be one of Peter Mayles' favorites
