After a morning wandering the stalls Wororot Markets (China Town) we crossed the river and spotted a sign for a Sunday Fest. We followed the signs and discovered the Banyan Restaurant inside the Siripanna Resort. A plentiful Sunday Brunch Buffet included pasta and sushi stations, salad bar with delicious freshly made dressings and crisp lettuces, roasted, bbq'd, and grilled lamb,... More

This is a excellent experience for classic lanna-thai cuisine. A tourguide brought us here. It's clean and organised enough to let a westerner enjoy and it's still the food like 100 years ago. A fantastic evening, fair price, good staff. Everything perfect.

If often take friends and travelers to this restaurant as it is a wonderful place to experience authentic northern Thai foods and a mix of international foods thrown in to keep people happy. Apart from the great food, I love the old world decor which takes you back to Singapore in the 60s, well that's what I suggest. You have... More

The service is top rate and the food is tasty but not gourmet. Getting this from a hotel restaurant and you know you are ahead of the game. If you don't understand something they will be happy to explain it.

We arrived at the hotel from our flight from Laos and I remarked to my wife how I was looking forward to some lively Thai flavours. We didn't find it here. Lots of overlooked, Luke warm or cold offerings in a forgettable mismatch of flavours. The best was the sushi and sashimi and the western desserts. Nothing remotely Thai On... More

Having just walked away from a disastrous experience at another restaurant, our party of 6 turned up at the restaurant at Siripanna Villa Resort without a reservation. We were greeted warmly at the entrance and assistance was provided to park our cars. On entering the restaurant, it was clear they were fully booked, but we were promptly escorted to the... More

This 5 star resort and spa (7,000 a night!!) offers a daily buffet (business lunch at an incredible cheap 189 baht and dinner at 500 baht). I'll say straight away, the variety of available dishes is mind-boggling - it's the largest selection I've ever had the pleasure to sample. The buffet caters for every conceivable taste from Japanese sushi, through... More

Only two hours ago I returned home from having a rich New Year's lunch at the Slee Banyan restaurant at Siripanna Villa Resort and Spa in Chiang Mai, and writing this review I am still overwhelmed. We had been a group of eleven persons, i.e. my Thai family and I, and one of my brothers-in-law suggested this morning to have... More

Excellent service, beautiful environs and fabulous food. The staff are properly trained, professional, polite and courteous. At the time of writing, the Siripanna does a superb buffet lunch on weekdays, featuring Thai, European and fusion foods. I think it simply has to be the best value in the city. I've been back many times and never a disappointment!
