With its view and food, you'll be able to find tranquility. Far away from the hustle and bustle, I can truly understand the history and stories.

Relaxing environment and nice food. We had a good experience here and recommend this restaurant to those who come to Beitou.

Waiter is dreaming in a place far from reality. Then comes the tea set where dessert comes first, presented with a mouldy wooden box. US$60 (each) plus the $10 entrance fee

Every night is a 10 course prix fixe dinner. There is a rotation of menus and only one menu is available each night. The do make substitutions for dietary restrictions. The positives: The place is beautiful: The old buildings, the worn and steep stone stairs...from the road down to the spa and restaurant, the gardens, the incidental plants, the view. The dining area is especially beautiful with a muted classical Japanese decor. The first time there was in winter. The hot springs were busy and the dining room was full of relaxed and hungry people. The second time was tonight - early August. And a very hot August it has been here so far. We were two of only five diners. The menu was beautiful, the food beautifully presented BUT it did not taste nearly so good as it looked. In fact it was quite mediocre. Perhaps the regular chef and crew were on vacation? I don't know. However, it was quite disappointing as we were excited to be returning to where we had had a very special dinner on a previous visit. Not likely to risk it again - there are too many other very good places and this one is too expensive to give it a pass.More

we booked a table for dinner at 7:30pm. we arrived on time. however once we arrived the restaurant the staff told us that only one dinner set menu was left available and the kitchen would be closing at 8pm. since then the staff kept pushing...us to order and told us food would be served quickly. honestly if your kitchen closes at 8pm, try not to accept any booking at 7:30pm or at least warn the customers ahead. it was also a great disappointment on food as we were expecting to have the vegetable set as opposed to the only set left. food was just ok. overpriced for such quality of food. there are a lot of restaurants doing much better at lower prices in Taipei. No wow factor at all. it was just average and totally forgettable. the place looked fantastic but we had lost our mood and appetite after being pushed to go.More

Food was great - many interesting courses, all very tasty and well presented. Probably a bit overpriced for what it was, but the location/ambience makes up for that. Service was fine, although staff seemed a bit rushed at times - could probably do with a...few more servers. Interesting history behind the place and good views down the thermal valley. Had some great decorative features (and some strange ones, too).More

We booked a family package including a private spa room and dinner sets some days in advance. It was a nice evening at zen garden with sunshine. We were welcomed by the staff and redeemed our coupons and granted access to the garden/spa area/restaurant. Along...our way, the surrounding is so tranquil and picturesque and we couldn't help to stop-by and take photos around. The private spa room is decent and spacious which allow 3 of us to enjoy and utilize the spa pool and a water pool next to it. After that, we had a lovely and delicious courses in the restaurant though time is a bit rush at the end for the last round of our dishes. The staff is flexible and helpful who arranged to pack the bottles of drink/wine at last included in the package/coupon as tea was served all along and called for us a taxi on our departure. Besides, I really appreciated the reception staff who identified and resolved our booking issue direct with EZTABLE that makes our total cost more reasonable. The package/restaurant is recommended. We had a wonderful stay there!More

It’s not a cheap place, went there with my mum, totally $45xx NTD. Food was good quality & yummy, environment is very nice, a good place to have nice meal, but the service was poor when Vs the price of meal, free hot spring tickets...offered after meal. Nice experience.More

A very historical place with amazing Beitou hot spring. 少帥張學良被幽禁之處、處處充滿歷史氛圍。 It’s not so clean and fancy as it’s quite old. It would be better if the owner can rebuild the facility of hot spring rooms. The view is definitely amazing. Love it and had a...great time.More
