came here to dine with my family. We called at the last minute and the restaurant was able to accommodate us. The staff apologized for not being able to seat us near the windows, which was fine. Most of the dishes were delicious. The service...was very friendly and professional. We will come back again for sure.More

We have stayed at the Lalu Hotel last year. The food then was superb. We had dinner and breakfast then. This time, we had afternoon tea and we were surprised to see the place packed with people on as Wednesday afternoon. The was superb as...always. However, we were a bit worried about eating the roast pork which was still pink on the inside. Eating at a famous steakhouse before, we were informed by the chef that it was okay to eat beef and duck breast with patches of red or pink meat, but not pork and chicken. Otherwise, the food was superb. I wouldn't mind going back to the hotel again.More

This is one of the restaurants of the Lalu hotel. The place is nicely decorated with great views to the Sun Moon lake. The place is elegant and the service is good, so expect it to be reflected on the bill. A gourmet meal set...cost around NT$1800 + service but it worths it if you want to dine in an elegant place, probably the best place in Sun Moon lake. The menu is not very extensive and it is basically western food. The food is good as well as the service but the best are the views. Recommended to be there from 6-8pm. The place is at a walking distance from the ferries and bus stop.More

The breakfast quality and the views were great. But I don’t want to see plastic containers and outworn kitchen equipment behind the buffet... Sadly this also was the case during dinner time. The style of the restaurant in general is in need for refurbishment. Most...of all we didn’t enjoy our food. I know Taiwan is not the place to go for Italian pasta; but if a restaurant in a five star hotel of the (amazing!!!) style like The Lalu offers such food, I expect good quality. We finished our bottle of wine in the lobby, where the atmosphere in front of the fire place was perfectly lovely!More

I booked afternoon tea buffet. Restaurant receptionist was not friendly at all. But rest of waiters and waitresses were very friendly. View on the 8 th floor is amazing, so beautiful and tranquil. Restaurant is at 7 floor, great view as well. Food quality and...chose of buffet were a bit disappointment. Not really worth for the money, you really pay for the view. Other 5 stars hotel buffet is much nicer then this one.More

One of the best three layered pork fats I have ever eaten. Ate my very first Black Garlic here. The taste is like Garlic with a combination of Plum. Beef was great. The rest of the food was fresh.

Best view of Sun Moon Lake! We came here to enjoy a nice lunch, which we did. We didn't stay at Lalu hotel but just came here for lunch - highly recommended for one of the best views in town. Food was good and all...ingredients fresh. We ordered mainly vegetable dishes and felt the freshness. Service a bit slow, but who cares....More

They simply don't care about their 5 star reputation when it comes to afternoon tea customers. Having read that many of the customers who tried their afternoon tea made comments about the never refilled empty food bar. And it is true! They were so reluctant...to refill the food tray! I even question myself why would I choose to eat here when I could have spent the same price to receive an adequate service and food at a fine dining restaurant where you are treated like a customer. Their staff are lack of training. They thought people who come in for afternoon tea would not become their future customer so they just rush everything within 2 hours afternoon tea. If you are a Taiwanese and you are reading this, this is where you will get the same customer service and empty food trays at a NT299 all you can eat restaurant. Nice view if you don't mind paying for a 900NT afternoon tea.More

Their menu is a picture book. We didn't know what to order because everything looked so good. The food is not heavy or oily and very delicious.

Located in what used to be THE Hotel in Sun Moon Lake used by CKS and other KMT high ranking officials. Regular hoi polloi cannot walk beyond a guard house that is now turned into a view point stop. You will need a private car...to reach the hotel and the restaurant or be lucky enough to catch one of the rare taxis in Sun Moon Lake. Absolutely amazing, luxurious environment in the lobby, the shops, and the restaurant. Didn't stay in the hotel, so no comments on the rooms. The restaurant is below the hotel and serves fine dining. Not much local cuisine about it, but everything was delicious!! Of course, the prices matched the surrounding. We stayed away from the headliner dishes, but still ended up with over $250 (NT 7500) for 4 adults and 2 kids.More

We used this establishment for breakfast and dinner whilst staying at the hotel for two nights. It provides a good view over the lake and does include some outside tables on a large balcony when the weather is suitable. The breakfast was self service with...a very good selection from which to choose. The quality of food was also very good Dinner is ordered and served at the table and has a pleasant ambiance. We felt that there could have been a wider selection of choices offered, but the quality and quantity of food provided was to a high standard.More
