Outstanding hospitality from service to even parking security. Scenery was beautiful even though it was raining throughout the stay. All worthwhile your time. I would definitely recommend to everyone who would like to relax and enjoy your own time of serenity with food that the...chefs put their heart in with local produceMore

After long day of sightseeing, it was time to re-energize the body and soul. Crimson Buffet Restaurant is located in the Fleur de Chine Hotel on Sun Moon Lake. Crimson Buffet offers American, Chinese, Japanese, European, and Taiwanese cuisine - taking the best or favorite...dishes of each cuisine and presents as a buffet. There are quite a few Taiwanese speciality entrees including beef noodle soup, soy sauce pork belly stew, and stinky tofu. Yes, the stinky tofu was delicious. There are a lot of shellfish including crab legs, clams, oysters, and shrimp. If you love shellfish, you will be in thrill to eat here. Meat eaters will be happy with the various selections of roasted beef, braised pork, and stir-fried chicken dishes. Vegetarian will be delighted that there are plenty of dishes made just for them. Besides the several salads, meatless soups, the unique creations of the common and unusual Asian vegetables. There were over 10 different desserts and were just the right size for 2-3 bites each so you can try all of them or just 5 or 6 different ones. I had a GREAT TIME GREAT FOOD ... at Crimson Buffet Restaurant.More

We stayed in fleur de chine in December and was always impressed with their breakfast and dinner buffet selections. I solely blame this delicious buffet for my 4 kg in weight gain. The wild boar ribs are delicious and I love the beef soup in...the morning. And first time had Taiwanese beer. Delicious!More

The buffets for breakfast and dinner are ok. There are a lot of variety. Quite a few are salty. We prefer Jade Luminous.

Fine dining at it’s best! Delicious Chinese set with mouthwatering specialties from this region of Taiwan. Most memorable are the Pork stir fry with mushrooms and crispy rice noodles, passion fruit/mango pancake and of course the coffee cloud!

This buffet was one of the best that I've ever been too. Make sure you arrive hungry!! Something for everyone and the dessert was especially great. Highly recommend. We also did an inspection of the hotel - just stunning. Great games room for children.

I had a lunch at this hotel the day I visited chung tai monastery and sun moon lake. The panorama on the lake is really beautiful from one of the restaurant saloon. The food was very good and the service was perfect.

Overall, I expected a bit more from the buffet. Not a lot of variety of dishes, mostly Chinese/Taiwanese, hardly anything Western. We tried everything but nothing really wowed us. We asked for Cheese, but were told that Cheese was only available for breakfast. We went...there for breakfast again and the so called European Cheese Platter consisted of cream cheese, sandwich cheese and a cheese (Emmental maybe) that was out there too long. In conclusion, the best thing we had was the fruits platter. Very fresh indeed.More

I'm eating at the restaurant as I write this. I would say that the spread seems to overwhelm you at first. On closer look, the choices that you would have to pay a premium if you were not eating a buffet are : crab, prawns,...scallops, oysters, beef, sashimi and my personal Favourite - cod fish (not available in all the buffets I have eaten except one - Amara Singapore) - are lacking or limited. Only four types of fish are available for sashimi and they are acceptable varieties which included salmon. Crab, one of the cold dishes does not seem Appealing because they are all small crabs with limited meat. The beef is acceptable but nothing to rave about. No scallop,no cod fish. Prawns, another cold fish, is acceptable. There is one thing that I will remember this place for - the giant oysters. I Attach the pictures so that you know what I mean. The other thing cute is they have a wide array of desserts Which was very well showcased at the entrance of the restaurant. Nice marketing. I will remember this. The acid test is - would I go again if I come here? It's not a definite no. I like the clean ambience although it was noisy because of excited diners. On the other hand, the price compared to where I come from - Singapore - is affordable. Hence, I might come back.More

I give this restaurant 5 star mainly because it was included in our room cost so the value is really unbeatable however if you have to pay anywhere close to 1000 this would only be around 3.5 star mainly due to small selection and portions...of seafood, desert, and sashimi. The highlight is the large half shell oysters and their great serviceMore

The hotel is super, however, it is so busy even during week days. The Spa, Sauna and the hot spring are also great. The Lake view room is also super, with a beautiful view. However, the food (buffet) is just ok, so crowded, no matter...for dinner or breakfast. The transportation is not that easy unless you have car or rent a bike, otherwise I don't recommend to have meal in the hotel. Better going to outside :)More
