Lu Ro consists of a variety of dishes, such as hard-boiled eggs and pork marinated in a mixture of light and dark soy sauce infused with herbs and spices, such as star anise, ginger and chilli. Lu Ro is usually served with white rice, often...with vegetables, with sliced pork. I must say Lu Ro is one of my favorite dishes, it is simple but delicious.More

The braised pork rice here is amazing. Everything here is amazing. This hole in the wall restaurant is super popular with the locals, and for good reason. The food is super flavorful and very well prepared. They're best known for their braised pork over rice....However, their pineapple and bitter melon chicken soup is also top-notch. I'd also highly recommend the strewed duck egg, bamboo shoots, and mee fun noodles. Be prepared to wait a little bit, as there aren't that many tables and this place is very popular.More

Made many trips to this shop for their braised pork rice. Consistent quality. Also tried their soups, wonderful as always.

I come every once a while alone or with families for its good food. It is very local, very cheap & nothing can fail you. Its braised pork rice, braised duck egg, sticky soup with pork, all kind of Taiwan local steamed soup even simple...boiled vegi are delicious & very cheap. This is definitely a great place to try very local & yummy Taiwan food. More

The braised pork rice was delicious. The chicken soup had a nice ginger flavor....The waitstaffs were polite and attentive. The seating was comfortable. It was a simple restaurant with good food.More

Came here around 9:30pm and there was still a long queue. We ordered their famous 滷肉飯, 肉羹湯 and a side veggie. The pork was so tender and flavorful. Soup and veggie were decent as well. Must try if you’re in Taipei!

Its one of the those hole-in-the-wall shops. You're given a piece of paper to check off what you want, but if you can't read chinese, theres an english menu with pictures along the wall. The most famous dish at this place is the braised pork...over rice. It comes in 3 different sizes. $1 usd for the smallest size and an additional $0.33 usd for a larger size. A tip is to get the side piece of pork belly.More

The food here is really delicious and it's what the locals will eat most of the day. The best thing is that this restaurant is very close to MRT station, easy to find. Although you need to line up for food sometimes, but it won't...take really long and it's worth the wait, when I was there few days ago, the staff told us that we probably need to wait for 20 minutes, but less than 10 minutes and we got seats, and they serves food really fast, so you won't be hungry for long. Overall it is a good place if you want to experience Taiwanese food.More
