Food average at best, had the chicken Kiev, it was served in less than 5 minutes which is never a good sign and was underwhelming to say the least.

We've been here many times and each and every visit has been lovely. However last night was exceptional with Emily ,Erica and the ever smiling Sean looking after us so well I felt it deserved an upated review. Just love it.

My family been dining in The Monastery Inn for many years. It never disappoints. From the moment you park your car( large car parking) until you finish the amazing dessert ( last time we had traditional Xmas pudding). The waitresses are truly one of the best as always. We're really impressed with their ability to be funny, kids friendly and... More

Coming back from Dublin to carrick on Shannon today we decided we call in here for dinner hadn't been in a long time. We got two 2 courses and can only describe it as DOG food. Never will return.

Great food and atmosphere. Staff were very attentive. We visit quite often and never had a bad meal there. Beer battered mushrooms are to die for also the steak sandwich. We'll definitely be back.

This has become a regular haunt of ours in recent times. The menu is extensive and the food is excellent, as is the service. Great value too with lunch-time, early and fixed price offerings. Service is always pleasant and quite prompt. Equally ideal for a leisurely family meal are for a quick "on the road" bite

Had dinner today with my husband & 2 small children. Sat down & was asked to move twice by the ''manager'' to a smaller area where the high chair would not fit @ table. Like we were being push out of the way as we had kids. Even other patrons were wondering what she was at asking us to move.... More

Burger is a favourite served with chips , mushrooms and onions and wife had the lasagne which is also a bit hit. Children loved their food also and service excellent .Had a Guinness just was average . I would ask... More

Absolutely fabulous food need to book but we'll worth it I have been here on numerous occasions... I saw a lot of families there with small children so family friendly too. I will definitely give top marks...

I visited this place with friends recently. Everyone enjoyed their meals, but could only eat main courses. The food is great but the portion sizes are enormous. Surroundings are pleasant and the staff are nice and helpful. Even with our healthy appetites we could not have eaten a starter or dessert along with the main course. When we visited this... More
